As the aircraft is rolling towards the parking position; Sylvia can read on the walls of the building in red letters " Down with the USA".
There are heavily armed soldiers around each airplane showing us the way through customs and immigration.

She is waking up hearing gun shots as she gets out of bed to open the curtains she sees detonations and fires illuminating the night sky, leaving behind a huge cloud cover of smoke.
The gun shots are getting louder and she opens her door to peak into the corridor when soldiers are running by and yell to get back into her room.
She is overcome by fear and has no body to lean on for the next hours.
Her heart is racing and she stays wide awake till the wake up call from the operator reminds her to get ready to leave .
The female flight attendants are asked to wear a head cover and they tie their silk scarves with the Lufthansa logo around their chin.
As they prepare the airplane for the arriving passengers Sylvia wants to breath some fresh air before closing the doors and she steps out on to the stairway plateau when a soldier runs up the stairs towards her yelling and pointing the machine gun at her and verbally pushing her back into the airplane.
Sylvia takes two big steps and is back in the plane, when a colleague closes the door of the MC Donnell Douglas DC-10.
She was 22 years old and had been threatened by an armed soldier, as she was looking down the barrell of his gun; but the bigger threat was the darkness she saw in his eyes...
