As part of putting measures in place to curb the illegal mining of our minerals has been one of the major plans of the government.

It was also known that, most Chiefs backs President on his decisions to curb illegal mining in the country one of which is the Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu 11 which he condems such act by Ghanaians and has even issued a strong warning to his Chiefs to desist from involving themselves in the illegal mining.

As His Royal Majesty is putting things in order to aid government curb illegal mining, some Ghanaians are also giving false claims insisting that, His Royal Majesty is behind the illegal mining (galamsey) in the country.

As part of this false claims , a group called the Ashanti Congress has issued a strong warning to persons who involves His Royal Majesty in the ongoing illegal mining to desist from it.

Speaking to the press, Chairman for the Ashanti Congress has vowed and made clear that, any person who is found as a victim will not be spared and will face the necessary punishment from authorities.

He added that, if we didn't speak the truth as Ghanaians we will keep on deceiving ourselves, so he emphatically made it clear on persons making those false claims to desist from it from now , or if found as a culprit will regret doing so.

"His Royal Majesty is working tirelessly towards the progress of the country and not involving in the illegal mining activities and he is tremendously aiding the brilliant but needy to persue better education" he stated.

He lastly said, he as the Chairman for the Ashanti Congress and his Executives will deal with persons putting false claims on His Royal Majesty of involving himself in the ongoing illegal mining (galamsey), he urged Ghanaians.
