Power of love.
#MothersDayStory
The time had come to start my journey. I leaned out of the window, waving as long as I could while she disappeared into the distance. My eyes lost her sight, as the train picked up the speed and left the platform.I was proceeding to start my new chapter of life by reporting my joining at Puna in a multi national company as a production manager.
Having completed my MBA after graduation, I had got an appointment at an annual package of Rs.15 lakh for first year with merit based promotion every year.My mother and father both have come to railway station to see off me.
Mother had at least 20 times advised me to take proper care of myself.I still can't forget the tears in her eyes..Thinking these, I fell asleep. It was only at 5.00 a.m. that I woke up by a call on my mobile. It was a wake up call from my mother.
Mother:-How are you?
Myself:-Fine . I just got up by your call.
but why are you weeping? What happened to you? When did you wake up? I guess, you haven't slept whole night. Pleaseee, mumma, tell me....
Mom was quiet silent and I could clearly hear her sobbing slowly.
Mummy ji, the train is about to reach Puna,I told mom.
I shall soon call you as soon as I reach my residence.I had been provided a fully furnished accomodation by the
company.
Time rolled by slowly and slowly. and 4years had passed. In these 4 years, I had got 2 promotions in my short life. and became a Deputy Director (Production). These were the achievement but losses were also in stock for me.
In these 4 years,I lost my younger brother who expired in a road accident.
While I was surrounded by these thoughts when my mobile rang.
It was a call from my father.I picked up the phone.
Father:-Abhishek ,my dear son , your mom is serious and admitted in hospital. She is remembering you. Doctors have become disappointed. Come soon . I got my seat booked in a flight the next day.
By 12.00 noon, I was in hospital.
Mom was in ICU and I saw her.She had an attack on right side of the brain which was soon going to affect her memory.
Mom opened her eyes.Asked me when I came.
Just now,I replied.
I took a sigh of relief that she has at least recognised me.
She sat on her patient bed and started seeing me.Mom, what happened to you.I said.
Mom said:-Abhishek, please come close to me.
I drew myself nearer to her.She hugged me.My dear Abhishek,my son, I was just living to see you.Saying this, she fell on the bed.
By this time, Doctor came for examination.
They told us that there are chances of memory coming back. Our whole team of doctors is surprised. An emotional meeting with one of the closest relative has raised a ray of hope of regaining the memory. Chances of getting back memory are one in a million in such cases and the good news is that signs of recovery of moemory have started. .
He pointed towards me and said, be close to your mom and share all pleasent feelings and incidents.
I did as they have advised me.
Seven days later, doctors gave us a good news that mom was quiet well and may be discharged from the hospital with a caution not to give her any kind of mental stress.
We took Mom to our home.
Such was the power of mother's love and blessings that enabled her to win the battle of illness.
