I spent the evening at a famous hotel in the city some days ago . Not 5 stars but good. Big, clean, fully equipped .
Best was a piece of note book on dressing table at the head of the bed. Though it might be for keeping track of what I bought and what I ate but the big reason of pleasure was that I neednot know the hotel rate because I had been invited to a marriage house.
So after freshen up Started to make a poem for posting next day in Writco lying in bed because it was quite cold .
There was a feeling as if I am very rich , but after a while, the urgent appeals of announcement were coming in to closure of the big but shut window , so understood that it would be of mike voice . But that tone - 'Take rat poison, one dose is all over, not much price, just twenty Rupees , twenty rupees etc', again and again. I forgot the mic was ringing me. I was thinking that the man is crying so much in the market in this cold, but no body bothers to be kind! If you buy how many, it will be only 100 rupees. And that is also not enough ! In the family may be wife , children ,parents too . Not everyone can get water with this income because I already finished a bottle of water that was 50 Rs . Surprisingly, the MRP was Rs. 20. And in this regard, they have the authority from Supreme court to take any price .
My thought was running - who is buying the poison ? However Screaming song of sale was going on .
Thaught turned , went to the hoteler ,Why he is not shouting - 'come in front of me, stay with me'. Actually they are in the business of 'giving the shelter' and of him is 'removal from shelter' ie the difference in business. That person can choose a good business. That's why the same Tagore ( goddess) has been giving different results because the hotel is named as 'Ma Mansa Hotel' and the hawkers Rikshaw too 'maa manasa' ( goddess of snake) .
Got lost in thought after looking for the call for dinner, finished dinner and returned to the room. I didn't hear any more sound of Rat killer . Probably he will have a 'good night' too.
