Why do we get demotivated when we fail?
When I fail, I feel heavy-hearted, painful, dumb, and useless because of anger. I also discourage myself for not achieving what I want. I keep scolding myself because of my heavy heart; it is like carrying unbearable pain. That is why I keep crying until my heart feels lightweight. Then I look into the mirror and ask my reflection, “Are you okay?” I take a long breath and smile back replying “Yeah I’m totally fine”. I console my heart saying “It’s okay we can try and try until we achieve. Not everyone is the same. Everyone’s capability varies. We can never be perfect at anything unless we learn about it. Remember that we were not born with the abilities to walk or run or at least crawl but we keep practicing until we become perfect although we fall a number of times. I guess we don’t cry when we fall down while we were practicing to walk because our innocent heart doesn’t know what is de motivation or discouragement. All we know was determination and eagerness for acquiring new skills. As we grew, we start comparing with others and what we don’t realize is even they too did not achieve it without hard work or smart work. Why are we forgetting where we came from? We learned to walk, ride bicycles, swimming, games, etc by practicing them a number of times in every stage of our life but when it is a career, why we have to give up when we fail on the first attempt. If we stop bothering about others' opinions and start bothering about our self-motivation and determination then we will someday achieve our heights although it may take time. All we need to have is patience. Today we may be a failure but if we fight like a warrior then tomorrow our story will be inspirational for others.
