ALICE'S FAMILY.
CHAPTER 1: ARGUMENT.
"Jane, why are you soo annoying like that. I called you about five times last night but you didn't answer your phone"Alice said to her cousin very angrily when Jane and her mom came to to visit them the next day.
"But Alice, you shouldn't get angry just because I rejected your calls because you don't know the reason why I did that" Jane said to Alice calmly.
"Then Why don't you tell me with that big mouth of yours" Alice replied to her cousin disrespectfully.
Just then Jane slapped her very well that their mothers heard the sound that came from upstairs and quickly run to see what was happening.
"What happened here my dear children"Jane's mother Aunty Monica asked.
"Aunty, Jane slapped me"Alice said with a baby voice as if she did nothing before.
"Jane why did you slap your sister?" Aunty Monica asked her daughter with an angry face.
"Mom she called me big mouth just because I rejected her stupid calls,and she's not my sister"Jane explained.
"You girls should go to your room, we'll settle this later"their moms instructed. That evening,both girls ignored each other as if they were enemies.
"Alice where is Jane?"a voice from behind asked.
"Why do you care about her" Alice asked not knowing who she was talking to.
"My child,do you know who you're speaking to in this manner?"the voice asked again. Just then Alice looked behind her and saw her dad,she was too happy to the extent that she run quickly to hug him.
"Dad, I'm sorry for talking to you like that, please forgive me"she said with a sad face thinking her dad would scold her. "I forgive you, but next time be careful with the people you talk to especially your sister" her dad warned.
"Your mom told me you had an argument with Jane and you disrespected her, is it true?"her dad asked politely.
Yes she insulted me,and I forgave her, because it was my fault,I should have answered her call last night"Jane who came from no where said with a sad face.
"Sister Jane I'm sorry for disrespecting you, I didn't mean it"Little Alice also said with a sad face.
"Alice I'm also very sorry for slapping you, please forgive me" Jane also said with a sadder face while tears run down her cheeks.
CHAPTER 2 : THE BIRTHDAY SURPRISED.
"Eii, so have you people forgotten about my birthday?"Jane asked everyone with a sad face because no one had wished her happy birthday.
"Oh my daughter, we haven't forgotten about your birthday" Alice's mum Auntie Linda said.
Just then Jane heard, Happy birthday to you! she was soo happy to hear her family sing for her. then she knew that then she knew that they didn't forget.
"Sister Jane, we did not forget about your birthday, we just wanted to surprise you" little Alice said. "Little girl I know" Jane replied making her cousin look a little.
"Sister Jane I may look small but very smart" Alice said with full confidence. Everyone was so surprised that they even clap for her and continued their party.
"Knock, knock" as the heard.Linda are you expecting anyone? Aunty Monica ask her younger sister with a surprising face? Yes I invited few of Jane's friends, It's a surprise"Mrs Linda whispered.
Mrs Linda run to open the door for her unexpected guest, she was so happy that she will be able to surprise her niece on her birthday. “Auntie who is there at the door that you are taking long to come in, we are about to cut the cake" Jane shouted. She was so excited!
"Not soo fast without us my beautiful friend"one of Jane's friend called Kate said with a big smile on her face.
"Kate!! what a surprise, and where are the rest, didn't they come?"Jane asked with concern. "Surprise!! We thought you wouldn't ask, what a good friend you are." Her other friends said. They were all girls, their names were Bella, Adjoa, Nancy Annabelle, Nana Aba, Nana Ama and Lisa. They all had a wonderful Birthday day party, everyone was soo happy.
"Have you girls forgotten about school after celebrating yesterday, or you have intentionally put your alarm off? Mrs Linda shouted from the door way.
"Mum I don't want to go to school today, I'm tired" Alice said.
"Shut up and carry your body out of the bedroom before I come there with a belt, are you not the same person who said you would be having a maths test today?"Mrs Linda said with an angry tone.
Jane hearing this quickly got out of bed and run to get ready. Their school bus will be at their doorstep exactly 7:30 a.m. the driver was to wait for only 5 minutes. "Alice, Jane your school bus here, are you done packing up your bag? "Jane's mom Mrs Monica asked.
"Yes we are done packing, so we are going" the two girls said bye and left for school.
