Stormy was starting to let herself feel love wanting to love to be loved. She had been talking to other men been on dates. But for some reason she felt something different when she was around Evelon and even when she wasn't. He wasn't even a very good looking man not that drop dead gorgeous type of a man just a simple man but man. A man that had that something that touched you when you least expected pulled at that something that needs to be touch. It wasn't a sexual attraction but a need of some sort.
Stormy thought I was around those other three guys for almost a month before I even met Evelon and there was no attraction. She saw those guys everyday and nothing, but the minute Evelon spoke one word it touched her. The next day Evelon and the other guys got there at the same time and she thought maybe she was making more out of things than really was. I'll just avoid seeing him and see what's really what she thought. She went out of her way not to be seen by him closing the door to her office while she worked on the book. Hours later she hadn't written a word she couldn't focus on her work there was this feeling of tension like she could feel him thinking about her. She would leave the office only to go to the bathroom or to get something to drink not looking his way.
She got back in the office and he was hauling her what she felt she had no control over. She felt what he was feeling for her and it felt good. Not being able to control the feeling she just let it control her. Her body relaxed into the feelings as she adjusted her position in her seat. Lunch time and the noise of the machinery was shut off, the guys broke for lunch outside. Storm left her office and he was standing beside her door.
You're avoiding me he said, I'm not I've just got to get some work done on the book, you're avoiding me I know avoidance when I feel ithe said. Storm rested her back on wall and just standing there was a pull of want between them that they both felt. I'm not going to try to make this something that it's not he said but I know that you are feeling what I'm feeling and trying to avoid it.
Stormy held her head up looking Evelon in the eye, and what is it that we are feeling she asked. What it is,is some kinda attraction nothing more, it's more than that he said you know it as well as I. I'm going to just be professional as long as I am working for you but don't ask me not to feel what I'm feeling as he walked off and went back to work. Storm still resting on the wall looked down at the floor not knowing how to feel.
The remainder of the day was awkward he was mad and she felt it. The guys left to go home Evelon pulled out right behind them without even saying bye. Hours later the phone rang and Storm just knew it was him.
Hello I'm sorry for going off but I haven't felt this way but once before now and she died he said. This isn't some kind of a sexual attraction I've been sexually attracted to other women and this ain't it. Storm just let him talk. It's as if I can feel what you thinking about me and what you're feeling when you are thinking. I don't want to believe something that's not true but I know what I feel and I know that you feel it too.
Excuse me she said but can we talk about this some other time please not now.
Is there something wrong he asked no I just need to get some work done on this book I have a deadline avoiding him again.
Ok he said we'll put the entire matter on hold until we both are clear but Storm this conversation will take place.
