Enigmatic maze

The mirror loomed over them as they traversed the hallways of the abandoned mansion. It was rumoured that no one came out alive from it , no one knows the cause , the aboden was covered with unwritten mystery, I had to uncover it .
it was a dull evening, rain clouds whispering secrets to each other as they sway , like silent dancers in the sky , I open the door of Riverdale estate, stepping in with my heart beating with excitement and fear to the dimly lit foyer of the estate , the door behind me creeked slowly closing it , I try to open it again , making sure I am not going to any trap like in horror movies , it did open again , I turned my flash light on as I walked down a straight path covered with pictures and painting of people from the 70's , there where no turnes or anything just a path straight as a line , as a reached the end of way there was a door it was the only one in the whole mansion that didn't seem like it was worn down and would break with a flick of finger , I carefully open the door as it lead me to room fully pitch black , I walk as lit the cressets and turned of my flash light , as I look forward, I was stuck in a maze of mirror, every step seems to mock my confusion , I looked into each mirrors , a chilling realisations , the mirrors were not showing the present but rather the past , the past of people I saw in painting forgotten in time , the path lead me deeper and deeper into the labyrinth, I felt that I would be lost forever if I turn back , I felt like I would uncover the secrets if dig deeper , so I walked and walked it felt like hours , each mirrors holding a reflection of me and the stories of past , as I was being guided by the mirrors I stumbled upon something, the cold touch sent shivers down my spines , as I looked down the time worn human bones and fragments scattered the way , my scream faded in the abyss of darkness, as I calm down and carefully stood up from the floor .
Abruptly, the mirrors distorted to confuse my way , but I kept walking in clear trajectory as I stumbled upon a peculiar mirror ,it was unlike any other's with showed me the forgotten past , this mirror just reflected the present, just my own reflection, I touched it feeling like a huge burden was lift of my shoulders, after hours of not knowing reality and illusion, this mirror gave the feeling I was back to existence, but like blowing out even the spark of relief it pulled me in like a array , but as I reached the end i let loose of the breath I didn't knew I was holding until now , I was at the entrance of the estate, the same door I opened as I entered to uncover the mystery that layed in this mansion .
"cali......."! my mom called out , Jolting me awake from my sleep , "didn't you tell me , you have to go to some place for your research, what was place called Riverdale.. riverdele , anyway wake up its 10 already "!
I got up from my bed "Riverdale estate..mom , it's 2 hours drive from here don't worry mom and plus I think this is going to be a exciting journey "! I told her with a mysterious smile on my face ,as my mom just slightly slapped my head just telling me to not play around and grow up and walked down stairs to make breakfast.
