A letter to my Government.
Dear leaders;

It's a few days left to the general election. Just like you always do, you've come up with "revolutionary aesthetic manifestos" crafted in poetic words that sound amazing to our ears. Wow! good job to all of you.

My main worry though, is how can I give you my vote. When your promises have proved to be hard to deliver. You promised jobs, good health services, sufficient water supply, business enabling environment, boost of the agricultural sector, high standard and skillful education, enabling infrastructure network, lowering the cost of living and in overall; good governance. Wow! you really know what the people of this country are hungry for.

But tell me where you abandoned all of this plans. Tell my fellow citizens what you've been up to in the last 5 years. Stand up and tell the country what cannot be fixed and why you have failed. You borrow billions every year from foreign countries. You over tax commodities in our country to collect more revenue. But where do you spend this money?

Hospitals have full of untreated patients waiting in line to be attend to by few doctors, and most of treatment drugs are always lacking. Streets are full of graduates who can't find a place to apply and develop their classroom skills, most of them can't afford to make a living from manual jobs they resort to do. People still die from hunger and starvation and have to depend on the west humanitarian help, yet they have large tracks of land lying uncultivated due to lack of rainfall; must we depend on rain to do agriculture!? The mode of teaching is still the ancient one; sitting in a classroom and listening to demonstrations and taking notes from tutors, when are we gonna find solutions of the real world around us?

My questions are endless, and I doubt you can answer me without laying blame on this and that, on that department and this politician. It's high time we stop retrogressive politics, politics of deceit and falsehood, politics of self enrichment, politics of indecency and start working on building a nation with a level ground for everyone to thrive, put food on the table, acquire meaningful education, develop their talent and be proud to be a citizen of this country.

May God bless my country.🙏

Yours sincerely;
Unforgiving citizen.
