Ethan didn't care what would happen to him, but the thought that Abigail could be trapped with that monster of Adam made him sick in his chest.
"It's over Ethan." Adam said with a smirk and put his finger on the trigger, intending to get rid of Ethan forever. Abigail closed her eyes in fear, not wanting to watch what was about to happen. Although, when she closed them, instead of a shot, there was a loud thump. Abigail opened her eyes, and to her and Ethan's surprise, Adam fell to the floor as though he had been mowed down, and Rebecca was standing behind him with a book in her hands. It took them a moment to realize the reality of the situation - the book hit Adam, causing him to collapse. Ethan rushed over to Rebecca, his voice filled with wonder and gratitude. "Rebecca, you… you saved us."
Rebecca's hands were shaking slightly, and her eyes were fixed on the fallen form of Adam. "I… I couldn't let him hurt you. Not anymore."
Ethan turned his gaze to the open door where Captain Williams and his men were still lying unconscious.
"They are… Are they dead?" He asked, getting a lump in his throat at the thought. Rebecca shook her head, "No, they're just wounded. But they need to see a doctor quickly."
"We have to get to land quickly. Who's running the yacht anyway?” Ethan asked worriedly, looking at Abigail. She shrugged her shoulders as her body still shook with fear, traumatized by what just happened in front of them. Rebecca stepped forward, "I think Adam was piloting the yacht. Which means no one is piloting the yacht now."
Ethan and Abigail exchanged glances, and then Ethan turned back to Rebecca, "Rebecca, you take care of the wounded, the first aid kit is probably around here somewhere, and I'll go to the control room."
