Wayward Wings -Escape
Her eyes drifted to the dimly lit cage they held him in. He was in there kneeling, at the center. Her gaze didn't long. The fear that her brothers and sisters would hear her forbidden thoughts, stole her pleasure, and reduced their connection to quick looks. She was an angel of the highest order, yet, in love with the demon kneeling in that cage.
All she ever knew were the commands of heaven. She carried out whatever edict given. She never questioned anything. Long after heaven ended the word of man, she almost questioned it. Sure, they were sinners and wicked creations of flesh, but they were made that way. Nobody dared question heaven or it's motive. To do so, would find your wings torn, stripped of your glory, and likely caged with the demons to be judged.
Angels roamed freely on earth now. The war of revelations had been fought. As was foretold, Satan and his demons had been defeated. The men who survived on earth we're made servants of heaven. She had spent so long reading the thoughts of men. In a strange way, she envied then. They were given the opportunity to choose. In the world...
