Death of a Girl
She lived her life,
she always planned ahead.
She was a beautiful girl,
she loved her Dad.

She turned 18, she met a man,
She married him in a foreign land.

Her father died when she was 10,
Her mother left him for another man.

Traumatized, she had no family,
She abandoned everyone except for Stanley.

She felt his pain portrayed to her,
Through his beatings, she felt insecure.

She would not leave him, afraid she might die,
Questions were asked in which he made her lie.

She lied and said she was in love with him,
Because she could not find a better man,

She sees in black, she dreams in red,
I swear I did everything that I can.

Her pain is gone, her dreams are lost.
She’s in my thoughts, the two of us.

I never knew her but I felt her pain,
I heard her crying through the pouring rain.

In that cold dark cabin on that winter day,
I remember seeing Stanley just walking away.

With a knife in his hand
that dropped to the floor,
Which was buried in dirt
and never seen anymore,

The cabin was empty with a quite stiff breeze,
She was lying on the floor, I fell to my knees.

I said: “why didn't you leave him when you had the chance”?
She said:……“because I thought I could save our pitiful romance”

She crawled in the corner balled on the floor,
Lost in her mind, looking at the door,

Her eyes were wide opened, her body’s so cold.
The cabin’s so eerie and the woods are so old.

She lied and said she was in love with him,
Because she could not find a better man,

I dream of her and the way she felt,
I felt her pain when she was with him.

Time stood still as I watched her die,
My one true love, who lived a lie.

I tried to help her, that beautiful girl,
But now it’s all over, along with the world.
