"Just pretend to be my date." He requested her.
"What will I get from it?" She said, raising her brows and pressing her lips.
"We both will benefit from it.Aren't you looking for a guy to go on a date with?" He said, folding his arms and looking in her eyes.
"Yeah but how do you know?" Her eyes widened in surprise.
"And you want to do this because you want to make your ex jealous." He said with a smirk on his face and eyes full of slyness.
"But how do you know about all this?" She was not afraid and didn't feel threatened but she was actually surprised that he knew something that she hadn't told anyone except her bestie who was abroad.
"I overheard you last night when you were talking to your bestie at Jacob's party." He said with a gummy smile.
"Ohh, I see. But what will you get from this?" She said thoughtfully and put her finger on her chin.
"My parents want to marry me with a random girl whom I don't know. They have told me if I don't go on a date with the girl of my choice this weekend then I have to marry the girl of their choice.." He told him about his problem.
"Ohh Poor you!!" She was not grieved but she made it feel like she was worried."So, I will get my ex jealous and you will get out of this marriage thing. Right?" She wanted to reassure her.
" Exactly you are quite a genius, I have underestimated you." He said with a smirk on his face.
" If you want this plan to work you have to compromise on this taunting thing. Do you understand?" She knew that she wouldn't be able to keep the act if he was teasing her all the time.
Both of them were remembering the day when they decided to pretend to be each other's date that turned into their successful marriage of 10 years.
