I woke up after an hour and my stop was just few blocks away. I got up from my seat and went near the exit gate to get off at my station. When a strange lady scanned me up and down and gave me a warm smile. According to Mimi's memories,that lady was her Nanny. They had a great bond and were inseparable. Mimi used to share every single detail about her life with her. Her eyes had a sparkle as soon as she looked at her and while glimpsing at her my mood got really lightened up. I helped her get up from her seat and then she took me to the house and while sauntering with her I told that fake story about memory loss to her and she got very emotional and embraced me in her arms. We had an emotional moment while she was telling me about all the sweet memories we made. We talked and laughed together until we reached home and then suddenly I saw Mimi's dad standing on the doorstop. It seemed like he was planning to give a surprise to his family about his arrival. He saw me and nanny together and stood there in silence without uttering a single word. When we came near him, he picked me up and started twirling me around. I wasn't able to process anything but understanding that he was her father this kind of gesture was expected. Well he picked me up and said I am back my baby girl and I bought something speical for you. He got me off and put me down and gave me a toffee from his pocket. That toffee was supposed to remind Mimi of her dead mom as she used to give it to her everytime she won a match or a medal as an appreciation. I couldn't help but cry while looking at that candy to other it must be just an ordinary candy but to Mimi it was her mother's care and love. Mimi used to collect the toffees and put it in a little box and used to look at those toffees and remember her mom while looking at her one precious picture with her which was kept in the locker. We all sat for dinner together and the step mom started asking about studies, I answered her that stuff is going great and told her about how teacher praised me today. She gave a normal look which was a bit disappointindisappointing but I coped up with it. We chatted more but it was all her trying to lower my self confidence down to the ground level. I ignored all that stuff and just focused on that delicious meat that melted in my mouth as soon as I took a bite of it. Mimi's dad was getting angry but he was suppressing it because he was scared and cowardy. After the dinner end, I went straight to my room and closed my door silently. Then I took the box out and automatically put the toffee in it when suddenly ny hand touched the photos. My curiousity got over me and I opened that little box. The photo here it is - I spoke to myself. I slowly and carefully picked up the photo and glanced over it. Wow! beautiful there was a beautiful lady who was holding a little child and both of them had those immersing emerald eyes and blonde hairs. So, she got these eyes and hair from her mother. While I was thinking and looking at the pic, I heard knock on my door "Mimi, it's me your father open the gate". I got up and opened the gate. His father was in a blue night gown and he had those blonde hairs and blue-greenish eyes. He also looked like a superstar who came out of a movie,he came and hugged me softly and gave me a photobook album which titled "TO MIMI". "Your mother asked me to give it to you once you are finally 18 years old. I am so sorry sweetheart I wasn't there on your birthday well here's a present from both of us to you."- he added. I wished him good night and asked him to take care of himself. Then, I looked at the photo album and went in my room to see what was inside it.
