KASHMIR - MY EXPERIENCE THROUGH A WINDOW
Those good night bye and the deep sleep hugging the quilt,
The chilling morning in the valley seems welcoming the winters that has just hit.

Opening the eyes and the peace of azaan I felt,
It was more of what I never expect.

Soon the namaaz was over and the birds also started rushing to get the breakfast of caterpillars,
It was the scene from my window where kashmir was just to be stared as its the heaven already declared.

The heaven where mountains are standing stiff and are going to be Laden with snow,
Soon the Chinar will turn gold and the cold winds will blow.

But what I observed was the little girl and her grandmother who kept on facing the odds,
They kept on tolerating the weather and continuously walked down the road.

My neighbour just wore his snow shoes in thought of this that there would be a snowfall today,
But I too looked up onto the sky and felt that he was right and wanted warmth in his feet to stay.

While making my mind focused and not to be fearsome of the approaching winters,
I rushed downstairs putting on my sleepers.

It was so because the beauty that I witnessed was supposed to be felt,
So I just made my mind to be out and the reality to be dealt.

The Kashmir has turned into a snow land,
The lovely songs are sung by the singing band.

Kangris are ignited and the salt tea being served with lawasa,
It's all awesome and the aroma of the coal being burnt to keep warm is also a jalsa.

Kids playing out and are into making the cute snow mens,
So are the shopkeepers busy in filling the stuff in shops taking them out of their vans.

Kashmir is now more beautiful than ever and is not less than a heaven,
Without any doubts it's the place to be looked upon with keeping body ,mind and spirits strengthened.
