DAD
"Mother!", shouted Susie, who was a little girl in the cycle of growing. "Mother! Come and look who it is!", she was still yelling. Her mother ran down the stairs from the veranda and fell from her hand a fertilizer bottle. "Oh Mother! Didn't I tell you , it's father.", saying this little Susie ran into her father's arms and her mother still surprised, happy and from her heart an anxiety flaming up and down. Till today, Susie knew she had lost her father when she was 3 years old. Then, what on earth was she looking at? " It can't be.. it simply can't be. Susie, come inside. And no this is not your father.", her mother said and mumbled" it can't be, it simply can't be." "why not mother", said little Susie who had waited half her lifetime in the little village, the same little bit, the same little shabby room just to see her father come to her one day. And this was the day. Her happiest moment, and she could not see and experience it! why? why not? what is wrong with dad? what is wrong with mom? all these thoughts gathered in her head but the most strong thought of all was " why am I not trying to see and meet and get to know Dad?" she burst open the door through which her mother took her away from her so called lovely Dad. Susie was furious, emotional and curious. "DAAAAD!" shouted Susie.... NO ANSWER. " Did dad really leave ? No that's not possible. Wait! is it.!" these were some of the thoughts mingling in Susie's head. But she was not a girl to give up. She went to the fields, where it was raining cats and dogs and shouted one more time" DAAAD! ARE YOU OUT THERE?" she did not hear anything and turned to leave when she heard "SUE" someone yelling across the field. " Dad! it's you! it's really you!" tears dropping from Susie's eyes and the rain has stopped and a glimpse of sun brought a sweet rainbow, not only in the sky but also in little Susie's heart. After she found Dad she still had a question roaming in her heart unlike her soul. "Who was it who stood in the front porch and why did mother leave with me." she turned to ask her dad but as soon as she said "Dad..." her father replied " Honey, some things are best left a mystery." Susie smiled and walked back home holding her father's wide hands against her small and cute hands.
