The Aftermath
In numerous occasions during quarantine, I found myself seeking to envision the state of people, in the aftermath, when it's all said and done.
As of now, it seems that almost every procrastinator, every person who is afraid to chase their goals and dreams, everyone who 'dialed down', or reduced the practice of their passions, have learned their lesson; certitude cannot be associated with the future, for no one truly and precisely knows what lies ahead.
Do what you wish to do, while you are still able to do it. However, estimate how much you ought to do it, since if you do 'it' scarcely; you may not enjoy it, as you cannot accurately understand, nor perfect what you rarely do. And if you excessively do it; you will quickly lose interest in it, but priorly, lose your focus and awareness while doing it, and thus, you will most likely abandon it, as it is most necessary to possess awareness, focus and presence of mind to enjoy, truly, what you practice.
But that is specifically in the case of hobbies, professions and passions.
However, in terms of activities such as going out to shops, restaurants, cafes and visiting others; I anticipate people excessively engaging in such activities when the situation is over, as they have been deprived of those practices, but that uncontrolled reaction might temporarily back fire, then similarly, they would dislike those activities for a short while.
When everything related to the situation reaches a conclusion, the paths of opportunity will manifest themselves once again, but before attempting to follow any path; one must revisit the fine paths that once defined him/her, then, upon revisiting those paths, one is redefined and ready to explore new roads.
If you are not defined yet, if you are yet to understand where you are positioned in regards to your objectives, if you do not even know or have them, then find out what they are, and specefically and accurately describe them to yourself. In other words: Define your goals and objectives in order to be defined yourself. You might ask: Well why should I define myself in the first place?
One answer would be: When you are defined; you know where you are, you know what you are and you know where you want to be. If you do not know where you are placed, you cannot know where you are going to, and if you cannot know where you are heading to, you will be lost.
Similarly, you cannot fix your problems if you deny their existence.
Thus, acknowledge your problems, work towards fixing them, and define yourself in accordance with what you enjoy and do best, as well as what you strive to be.
Lastly, as the pandemic situation has demonstrated; you must realise that the clock is ticking, and time has not waited for anyone in the history of mankind. Therefore, as soon as the opportunity presents itself; strive to define yourself, then endeavour to better it.
