My Village.
Chapter Five.
Part One.
The meeting was centered on how to savage the problem of the market congestion as all the chiefs put their heads together on how to resolve the matter. There were contradictions and oppositions until they reached an agreement.
The king and his cabinet agreed to set up an immigration panel at the entrance of the village to curtail the influx of people in the village. They also agreed that ten more plots of land should be added to the present market and every trader should have a particular spot acknowledged by the market union.
The most important decision that was made was the provision of new jobs in the village such as farming, fishing, lumbering, local processing, etc, so that people can leave the market arena and pursue other jobs hence helping the economy of the village.
That being said and done, a chief, Chief Dele was appointed by the king to oversee the work and make sure everything worked according to plan and also for feedback and progress report. It was nice planning without the chief priest.
Suddenly, a messenger arrived at the palace and greeted the king and introduced himself as a messenger from the Oba (king) of Lagos. According to him, he said that he has been invited for a very important meeting in Lagos state and he left the palace.

Another messenger came to the palace running and panting, drawing the attention of the queen. At that time, her husband had already gone to Lagos.
" My queen, my queen, please come out, please come ooo
The queen came out looking alarmed.
" Why are you shouting? What is wrong with you? What happened?
"Ah, my queen, please calamity just happened oh. Hei!!
" What happened? Talk to me, what happened?
At this time, Jumoke came out of the house.
" What happened? She asked
" Ah, my princess. It is terrible.
" What is happening? You cannot just come into this palace and be shouting. What happened? The queen shouted.
" Ah, my queen. It is your mother.
"What? My mother? What happened to her?
" She woke up this morning coughing dry coughs and after she asked for water and I gave her. When it was time for her to eat, I gave her food and she began to vomit blood immediately and that was how she died"
