Rockabye
A little girl around the age of 5 plays around the fire while her mother sings Rockabye.

"Now she got a six year old
trying to keep him warm,
Trying to keep out the cold
When he looks in her eyes,
he dont know he is safe when she says...
She tells him ooh love,
no ones every gonna hurt you love,
I'm gonna give you all of my love,
nobody matters like you---
So Rockabye baby, rockabye,
I'm gonna a rock you,
Rockabye baby, dont you cry somebody got you,
Rockabye baby, Rockabye, I'm gonna rock you,
Rockabye Baby, dont you cry
Rockabye----------"

"Mama...Where is that song from?" The little girl asked.
" My grandpa said it was from Clean Bandit, though I dont know who that is." The lady said. The little girl stared for a minute then went back to playing.

20 YEARS LATER

A woman. Twenty five years old. She has a child who is six years old. It is a cold winter and her in her baby are in a narrow alley. People pass. Giving disgusted faces. One man though... He stops for a minute gives us a pitful smile, then walks away. The woman softly sing to her baby the Rockabye song.

"Now she got a six year old
trying to keep him warm,
Trying to keep out the cold
When he looks in her eyes,
he dont know he is safe when she says...
She tells him ooh love,
no ones every gonna hurt you love,
I'm gonna give you all of my love,
nobody matters like you---
So Rockabye baby, rockabye,
I'm gonna a rock you,
Rockabye baby, dont you cry somebody got you,
Rockabye baby, Rockabye, I'm gonna rock you,
Rockabye Baby, dont you cry
Rockabye----------"

After the song, the same man that had given her the smile, walked over to her and brought her a long hot stick of bread. The woman said, "Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to me." The man just smiled, and walked away. "At least tell me your name sir! " The woman shouted after him. "Remonald" The woman nodded and went back to the bread. She took off tiny pieces for the Son, and even smaller pieces for herself. The next day the man returned. "Get up" He said. "I cant" Said the woman in return. The man looked at her for a minute then picked her up with the son in her arms. "What are you going to do to me?" The woman said. "Taking you to my place." Once the man arrived to his place he set her down on the couch and went to the kitchen. Once he came back he had a hot bowl of water with him. When he set it down, the woman flinched. "Sorry, I didnt mean to scare you. The woman just looked. "Where do you live? " The man asked. "In the Alley where you found me." Said the woman. The Man looked sad, then started to rub her feet in the hot water. "Why are you doing this Remonald? Everyone walks past me with disgusted faces... Why?" The man paused for a little then said. "I grew up in an alley with my father. My mother had left him because he couldn't afford any nice things. One day a nice woman came up to us with a stick of bread. And so... I decided that it was the right thing to do." The woman stared. "And the woman? What happened to her?" The man smiled. "My father and her loved each other. They married, but shortly after...Maybe three years of being together, They both died in a car accident. " Even though his eyes where sad, he still held her gaze. "I'm so sorry" The woman said. The man nodded. "I should really go though... You're wife might be a little strange if she found out that you had brought a peasant in your house...Plus, I dont want to take up much room. " The woman said. "No! Please dont go! First of all, I dont have a wife, and second of all I dont care if you took over my house! There is a blizzard outside and you and you're son could die! I will take care of you and promise never to hurt you. But I dont want someone that I gave bread to, just to die a couple days later." The woman was shocked. She looked at him, then smiled. "Ok." When night came she went to the kitchen to set the table for dinner. "What are you doing?!? You are supposed to be the guest! Not the servant! Let me get that for you!" She stepped away and went to the table. When dinner was ready, she made her plate then went to put her plate at her spot then went back to the kitchen to make her sons plate. Once everyone was seated they started to eat. Remonald looked at her plate and said. "Do you not like Lamb Stew? I can make you something else if you would like!" The woman looked at her plate, then back at him. "No! Of course not! I really do like it! I aam just used to such a little amount of food that I guess I have a smaller stomach now. " Remonald nodded then went back to eating. Once everyone was done, Remonald showed the two guest bedrooms. The woman refused to sleep on the bed, so she was going to sleep on the floor. She went to her son's room and tucked him in. She started to sing the Rockabye song so he could fall asleep.

"Now she got a six year old
trying to keep him warm,
Trying to keep out the cold
When he looks in her eyes,
he dont know he is safe when she says...
She tells her ooh love,
no ones every gonna hurt you love,
I'm gonna give you all of my love,
nobody matters like you---
So Rockabye baby, rockabye,
I'm gonna a rock you,
Rockabye baby, dont you cry somebody got you,
Rockabye baby, Rockabye, I'm gonna rock you,
Rockabye Baby, dont you cry
Rockabye----------"

Once he went to sleep, she quietly walked out of the room to meet The Man waiting for her. "You know you have a beautiful voice...Right?" The woman blushed then nodded. She went to her room then took a shower. Refreshing. She hadn't used that work since she was eighteen. She started staying in Remonalds for Two years and then the woman and the man got married, and she never has to starve or live in the cold ever again.

She now tells her kid almost everyday, " You where lost, and now you're found, you where cold but now youre warm, you where starved, but now you not, so remember, Miracles can happen no matter any situation you're in. Stay strong, For you are bullet proof."
