But it turns out it was a lie.

And I followed you without an ounce of doubt.
You tricked me, you sneaked the truth around me. Your false smiles, the mischievous laughs are burned into my memory, unable to be forgotten.
When I trusted you, you left me.
When I declared my love, you left me.
And as my heart broke, you just went out into the rain, free of any worries in the world.
I was in agony. You were in happiness.
So I weaved a lie of my own, waiting for years to reel you in.
The seconds, the hours, the years passed. And you finally came, begging for forgiveness, knowing you did wrong.
But I knew what you deserved so I took your apology with a smile, a laugh, a kiss.
What you never knew was that I always hold grudges, unable to let them go until the other person pays.
