B. RUN & HIDE

I used to seriously
Have mad love
For my people
Now I've lost it
And I had lost me
To do things as they and I myself please
Trying to understand
Why they remain unchanged
Which affects me
Whilst I've dressed up nice and clean
Wearing my coat of many colors
That I can't help to choose
Abandoning it in the long term
Since it's been forgotten
Must've been worn-out,
Helpfully disguising this lasting appearance
Also as tattered and torn

Couldn't see my value
I am a stay-home daughter
Being overlooked for my gifts & worth
I'm priced all along with underestimation
Lord knows these false definitions
I had learned all my life is burdening
Have my determination subsided
Harder to unlearn indulgence, yet
The easiest to always relearn learned lessons
