True Story : A Death like no Other
It was a sunday to remember, the sun was so hot you can fry an egg instantly on the side walk. Road was busy and bustling with people going about their business while others were getting ready to go to church , the breeze felt so invitingly cold and comforting.
I went outside of my house after I finished changing the sheets and polishing the floors , then I started to wash the sheets and some clothes. I went back inside for a cup of tea and something to eat. I then went back outside to look for my friend and nextdoor neighbor, he greeted me with a smile and a hug . We started to talk about why he haven't seen me in a while, he also asked if my mom was alright and if I could help him with his hair . I told him 'yes' I would him but after I took a shower first.
I went back over to my yard to take a shower and at the same time my mom was getting ready to go to work. After taking a shower , I brushed my teeth ,combed my hair and put on a change of clothing. Approaching the side of the house I stopped with my phone in my hands texting a friend of mine, my mom walked passed me towards the road .
I felt my body went numbed as if the air left my body instantly,I could hardly move it was like death came right infront of me and stared me in the eyes. Suddenly my heart sinks with the air constantly being sucked out of my body I couldn't understand the feeling but as I looked towards the road I could see people running from one direction to the next screaming, shouting and crying filled with sounds of anguish.
As I stepped onto the road I could see crowds of people on either side of the road with mere shock and astonishment, they were scattered on the road like wild ants. As I make my way towards the incident I could see that a car had collided into an ackee tree infront of a barber shop , broken bike parts shattered into many pieces on the grass at the side of the shop. People wondering what could have cause this,some people were wondering what a controversy, some were talking and taking pictures of the incident and others were thinking what could have done to prevent the accident.
People say that the car hit him off his bike head-on while he flew off his bike crashing into a concrete wall breaking the bones of his skull and shattered his body exponentially restricted all the movement from his body. All the thoughts in his head only became an illusion then flickered on the bare road battered and bruised scared for his life never knowing that this would be the end of his life.
Waking up from his unconsciousness he turned himself over on his back then with a cry of hysteria he asked slowly where is his arm ,that part of his arm was found in the passenger seat of the car that hit him. His cousin rushed him to the hospital and placed in the emergency room quickly under drips ,multiple injections to ease the he was under. Barely could speak, he looked lifeless and uncompromising with his thoughts or hope of living, he could see his life forces going dim. He played there with his thoughts, afflictions, dreams and inspirations totally gone down the drain.
His arms ,His privacy was swollen so big it looked like a tennis ball while the arm that was ripped from his body had made him lost a lot of blood ,his legs were broken ,his spine raptured leaving him conspicuously crippled with a deconstructed and fractured skull and bleeding internally. This was like a dream turning into a nightmare gone wrong.
Sitting in the waiting room where some of his family members are wondering if he is going to make it only to hear that his oxygen supply was cut short of a miracle leaving his body lying lifeless on the stretcher battered and torn with all hope being lost.
With other family members and friends back home awaiting to hear the dreadful news hoping to hear if he is able to see another day. Keeping our hope's up thinking that after an accident like that he would have atleast survived the inevitable to live and tell the tale only to understand that he didn't make it.
Died on December 18,2016 leaving behind a wonderful family members,respected loved ones ,dedicated friends who are loyal to him, Sons and a girlfriend who loved him,life goes on.
