Write a short story from your past that involves light or darkness in some way.
It was the last day. The day I resigned. from a well paying job. I felt I was deprived of well deserved seniority level in that office because my boss gave the post to his new girlfriend. I was thinking of my future and career with a depressed mind. I was walking alone on the footpath towards the bus stop. Suddenly I stopped in front of a showroom.
A little girl was selling balloons. She came to me and asked "will you like to buy my balloons? please Sir buy atleast one so that I could buy a piece of bread for my mother. She is starving, so am I."
I was very sad but when I compared my situation with them I realized how fortunate I am and thanked God for that. I was list in my thoughts while, she was waiting for my reply. I took out a hundred rupee note from my pocket gave it to her .
She gave me all the balloons and wished me Merry Christmas. Her smiling face spread a light in my dark gloomy world.
I came back home where my childhood friend Shahid was waiting for me. He said he had a proposal for me. He said he is about to start a business and he wants me to join his business.
I realized God has planned something better for me. I accepted his offer and
