If I had to go somewhere and my parents refused and asked me to study, I would go to study in a room, disappear myself by wearing that hat and come out of the room and close the door of the room back and goes away with ease.
In school, this hat would really had been useful for me.
If teachers comes in my class who always asks questions and if I don't like that subject, like maths, then I could vanished whenever I want. So that I will understand the things being taught in the class and also can avoid answering the questions, as for teacher I will not be there.
