Winter Solstice Great Conjunction
The celestial conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn planets will take place on Monday, December 21, 2020. If the weather conditions permit, sky gazers will be able to witness the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn through a telescope on Monday between 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm. During this conjunction, the two large planets come so close that they appear to make a bright double planet. The occurrence of this celestial event is so rare that the last time this conjunction happened was about 400 years ago.
The conjunction is also known as Christmas Star which according to the Bible, was the star that guided the three wise men to baby Jesus. One can watch this event only once in a lifetime.
