Accidents Happen
I tend to have really odd dreams...
And this short little story is one I recently had.

Striding on the side of the road as the sun beat down, bringing life to our planet, I found myself lost within my thoughts. Wheels turning around and around in my head. Ideas were constantly running through for my next novel. I could just picture myself sitting at the desk, holding my pen and ready to write, to be alone with myself once more. Lost so much in thought, I didn’t know what hit me. A sharp shriek on the road caught my attention, but too late. Unrestrained and anxious within the back seat of the wide minivan, was the silhouette of a large dog. Rushing and barking at anything on the outside, the man behind the wheel lost control, his arms trying desperately to turn the wheel. I felt the impact crushing into me as I was thrown into the air, landing within fourteen meters of where I once stood by the curb. I felt the wind get knocked out immediately. I lay on the warm grass, wheezing and gasping for the air to return, as my eyes slowly began to grow heavy. I saw the man within the car hang his head within his hands before hurrying out. My bones and muscles could just barely move. Within my head, my ideas and thoughts ceased. I lifted my eyes to glance up, seeing a bright, white light. Running and screaming toward me, came the man. He kneels down by my side, continuously calling my name. I could do nothing as dizziness took over and I fell into the dark. Sirens were the last sound I heard as my eyes closed and the white light engulfed me. My body fell limp. Unconscious. Unmoving.
