The Amazons 2 Chapter 9
Alterior intentions need never be mentioned for they are always on display. As plain as day in the actions of ones you might have thought had become a friend. But, in the end they cannot hide their interior divide. Abide by what your heart relays and stay on your path ready to cast them aside when fate steps in allowing you to decide.

Jack can be seen being thwacked to his left and right as his rushing carriage makes express flight to Parliment. Such a sight to see for a grown man to be attempting to stand in this condition whilst attempting to transition into his new clothes that Sam had just bestowed. Enrolled begrudgingly yet again into his ambassadorital duties finishing up his dressing he loosely started to tuck the dragons eye away but, be it as it may he decided to stay his hand and land it on the outside of his ruffled shirt. With a stiff jerk and a pat he decided that hiding in the shadows was no longer an option. Yes, caution would be played but the Speaker of The House now conveying that he showed let him know that more had been enrolled into the Amazons existence. Perhaps his insistance to save Callo's remaining men had somehow brought all this secrecy to an end.

The messenger expediciously extending the carriage brakes in an attempt to make an immediate stop whilst simultaneously pulling back on the reins. Jack thus sustaining the brunt as he was shunt halfway out the window. Such an undignified intro to his official duties but being sent into the breeze was an expected ease to Jack his hand firmly attached on the window rail. Thus preventing him from sailing onto the front steps. Quickly paying his respects to his driver by lightening his purse thus asserting him a gold doubloon whos size almost made the messenger swoon. Jack then boldy shewn his role as he dignifiedly strode to the driver and sired a statement.

Jack: "Payment will double if you wait for me outside."

More than willing to abide for such a large fare the driver immediately declared.

Driver: "I am prepared to wait for this eve's moon to turn into twilight to give you a ride Sir Jack."

And with that he packed in his strength and strode at much widened length into Westminster Palace.

A lattice work of some of the most ornate stone greeted him at St. Steven's front gate. Made to satiate the royalties need to exceed their European neighbors. Just the labors alone to carve such large overgrown towers must have devoured British labourers for years. Built in 1097 It most assuredly diverted the attention of any that might dare to question it's need.

He proceeded inside, Jack's stride attempting to confide an aire of nobility. He could see the other working lads all clad in colored coats to denote their servant status to the various houses' apparatus. Whilst practicing proper form he walked up to one with the insignia from The House of Lords and informed him he was here to see the Prime Minister.

A somewhat sinister grin began to show on the lad who was quite embolden to kick out any not enrolled in without formal invitation. He stationed his hand on Jack's shoulder prepped to roister him back out the door and roared.

Messenger: "All the houses are currently on the floor." "To whom heretofore may I ask are you?"

Jack withdrew from his grasp and casted his name.

Jack: "Sir Jack Jenasee." "The Honorable William Gladstone specifically asked for me."

The boy, keyed into the current goings on immediately donned an apologetic tone and immediately shown respect.

Messenger: "I'm sorry I've neglected my manners." "SIR Jack." (GULP) "I was quite taken aback that you showed from the street and not already in the houses seat." "the least I can do is show you the way."

To Jack's dismay he was brought into a session already underway. His eyes surveying the surrounds. Lavish carved woodwork abound with all the members sitting around in an enormous rectangle. All their eyes angled his way then a look of dismay appeared on an old familiar face it was Col. Creep already pleading his case to the house.

Shouts of "ORDER!" "ORDER! are immediately yelled to quell the house's unrest too many members patience tested to number immediately requested that they explain how Jack dared attain admission. The messenger quickly positioned to take a bow now disavowed blame by empirically explaining

Messenger: "Without further detain I have obtained the Amazon Ambassador you sought we seem to have caught Sir Jack Jenasee."

The members pleas to explain now obtained to their satisfaction. But the overall attraction to stare at Jack was not elapsed. The dragons eye's contrast off his new white shirt immediately alerted all their attention. The speaker of the house mentioned his name and insisted that he came to the podium.

William Gladstone: "Now that the pandemonium has died down Sir Jack, perhaps you can get us back on track?" "We were addressing the attack in the port of Callo." "We were just being told of the courageous, harrowed fight the Colonel put up against the Amazons might and how they nearly escaped with their lives."

Jack: "Ha!" "Poppycock!" "They survived only by the mercy of my sister alone." "In fact the Colonel wished her to show leniency only after he forced her hand to upend the Howe and all it's men." "It was only then, that the Colonel after being frozen in fear finally interfered."

Jeers immediately crop up at every ear in Parlament's lot. it would seem the Colonel was not entirely truthful about his refusal to cooperate.

William Gladstone: "Wait!" "What is your take on the Amazons?" "Did they don weapons without the Colonel's intercession?"

Jack immediately questions what the Colonel has done he has falsely swung the facts to detract from his true intentions. The invention of soo many lies it seems that he is going to have to reprise the truth since it seems to have been made aloof.

Jack:"Forsooth!" "The Colonel was planning to invade into the Amazon forray. It seems you have been led astray." "His men made way without invite from the Amazon nation." "Meanwhile I was stationed in cuffs and only asked to discuss the whereabouts of their gold." "Once he was sold, our fate was unfolded to be cast to our last off the plank."

A man yanks himself into the air from the House of Commons chair. Daring to express his concern his yearn to help Callo's widows he billows out.

Mr. Northcote: "And what about all the fathers that never came home?" "Am I to be told that their wives and children should suffer their fate?" "How will they put food on their plates?"

Jack: "Wait!" "What about the £900,000 pounds the Amazons endowed the crown?"

Mr. Northcote: "How is it just now we are hearing of this tithing?"

A stern frown can now be seen on the Colonel's face it was obvious from it's make that the Queen didn't relate the money she was endowed. Sounds of aprehension and complaints now resonate off Parlament's walls.

"Thieves!!"

"You all should be slung off a noose!"

"What is the Queen's excuse?"

William Gladstone: "ORDER!" (Bang!) (Bang!) (Bang!) "Gentlemen, diffuse your attention to the ones that mentioned the gift." "Don't lift your voice just to be heard out of turn." "We all yearn for an explanation." "Now, we gave an invitation to the Queen but since she didn't show." "Perhaps the Colonel holds more insight as to what might have happened to the gift?"

Col. Creep: "I'll resist from assuming our majesties intentions." "But would rather mention that she always has the greater good of her people in mind." "Even if you didn't agree with her designs."

Mr. Northcote: "Designs?" "Really!" "Need I remind the house that our divine Queen already owes an obscene amount after the recent bout with the devout African natives." "She stated there was no way we could loose." "Yet, how we're we to deduce that we would be massacred."

Col. Creep: "I assure you our Queen had not forseen the African's sniping and I'm sure she was going to disclose the Amazon's tithing."

Spying an opportunity to be heard due to expenses incurred from the loss of so many ships a man that sits in the Conservative Party seats bellows in repeat.

Mr. Greenwall: "Lest we keep in mind the Royal Navy's losses!" "The cost to replace the Waterloo and the Howe." "Yes now, they were due to be turned into scows." "But somehow they fell off the books and just now it shook me to my core when I heard the St. James as well was now dwelling in the drink." "The Naval committee wants to know how...did...it...sink?"

Jack quickly shrinks his posture in order to foster an aire of naivety at this statement but the engagement from the parliamentary house devout to find answers is seemingly a cancer to the Queen. The scene mired in bureaucratic queries worries him because their sins are slowly coming to light and he just might become entwined despite his more-than honorable designs.

But, just lately he could see the scrutiny the Queen was under. None were so willing to confront her decisions. Not smitten by her status this apparatus seemed to keep her in check which would in effect explain why she wanted to remain aloof about the Amazons.

Jack donned courage and spoke aloud so even the most wound-up pundits in these seats would at least hear him out.

Jack: "Please reroute your apprehension to the ones that didn't mention my sister's gift." "It was given to transmit that killing was not their intention. But to lessen the blow that they bestowed on your naval fleet." "She wants to meet eye to eye on trade that was prior denied to their kind."

Mr. Northcote: "Denied open trade?" "When we're these plans laid?"

Jack: "My father made an attempt to position the crown in 1806 but Queen Caroline would not endow the resources needed for a return trip. So my father had to sit on his knowledge of the way through the Amazon jungle waiting for the day when I could follow in his footsteps.

William Gladstone: "So you are the only one left that knows the way?"

Jack: "I would have to say no." "Though I am the only one that will formally speak here on the Amazon's behalf there are two more that bore my sister's ambassador mark and they also know the way from the start.

Col. Creep: "Huh!" "They are both Scallywags at heart."

Jack: "At least they never departed with the truth to keep this entire house aloof."

Col. Creep: "You dare dispute my honor!"

The proper demeanor in the house was now routed with questions. Tentions quickly rose and a few sprung to their toes.

Mr. Redfield: "Suppose you fill us in as to what the Colonels sins would be?"

Bishop St. John: "I would like to see if the Colonel is in need of a confession." "Does our Lord need to teach him a lesson?"

William Gladstone: "Before this session closes I believe we have a right to know this."

Jack: "Well... let me begin with a question." "When you lessened our load of approximately £300,000 pounds worth of gold who was exactly going to be the holder such a fortune?"

Colonel Creep: "It was proportioned off to pay for your lots debts." "Lest you forget the Dreadnaught."

Jack: "But that would have caught just a few hundred pounds." "Who else around would have such a hanker?"

Colonel Creep: "A banker was sent to see how the money was spent."

Jack, being represent of the Amazons throne embold an aire of cynicism and saw the schism from within. A spin on the truth that seems to have been made aloof.

Jack: "Perhaps some proof?"

Col. Creep: "You dispute my claim?"

Me. Northcote: "I believe that it is Jack's aim to ascertain if you are lying to this house!"

Jack: "Well, if there isn't any question then perhaps you lessen any gold that you may hold." "Unfold your purse so we all may immerse our eyes on what you deny."

Col. Creep: "Excuse me but...why?"

Jack: "A unique stamp is applied to all Amazon gold." "So if you do not hold an ounce we could all pronounce your integrity intact rather than overly react."

A small sack on the Colonel's side was now eyed by Mr. Northcote. Devote to help his sister now amidst the widows and children of the deceased crews. His inquisitive mind grew too much for him to handle. He scrambled to his feet intent to never allow a repeat of this disgrace. He raced to the Colonel's side and applied enough umph to to dump it contents on the floor. There the mark bore for only Amazon gold showed it face as gold coins raced down his side. Everyone eyed the foreign coin too big to adjoin to British pounds it's girth around at least twice the size and inlaid into it's sides was an integrate scribe of the dragon's eye.

Jack spying the display made way towards a coin rolling on the floor. He bore it up and stuck it next to his jewel. The duo looked the same no need to explain to the group.

The Colonel's uncouth acts now aired. In anger he dared to attack hoping to get back a shred his self respect. He lept towards Jack and placed his hand on his shoulder. Which made the dragon's eye begin to smoulder. Controller of it's power Jack immediately smacked away the Colonel's hand but this unplanned attack didn't stack in his favor. The behavior of this mystic jewel fueling it's might from an unseen either glowed a brilliant green and shot a beam directly through Parliment's ceiling.

((ZZZZZZT!))

((BOOM!))

"AAAAAAAH!!"

Mr. Northcote: "My word!"

Immediately all they heard were shouts of fear.

Bishop St. John: "Did the devil come here to pay his respects?"

Everyone simultaneously lept towards the exits. Beset with guilt Jack tilted to the side and placed the eye inside his shirt. William Gladstone now alerted to this new creation stationed himself next to a newly opened hidden door and implored Jack to come inside.

Provided access to such a back room one would barely assume of it's exist or at least initially miss such a hidden place. Upon entering he was faced with an ancient horde of maps. Perhaps it was William's hobby but all the copies of charts in his heart reminded him of his father. A scholar of Cartography he'd always be chest deep into heaps of maps while he sat at his desk.

William Gladstone: "Please excuse the mess but, I cannot stress it enough for you to tuck that trinket away."

Jack: "It's display is merely to play my ambassadors role." "The damage it dole out to the house please accept my devout apologies." "You see when someone comes too near it automatically seers it's flame." "It's aim is to keep the unworthy away."

William Gladstone: "Dare I say that's probably just a taste of what awaits in the Amazon." "Ha, ha, ha!"

"The progress on the Panama Canal has seemed to have engulfed my desk please forgive the mess." "You see despite the Americans attesting not to interfere we hear that they have asked to break the Clayton-Bulwer pact which would in fact put them in control of the whole isthmus. So we of course must keep them in check."

Showing proper respect and waiting for the Prime Minister to sit down first Jack lurched forward an old wing back chair then, daring to stare at the plans he loosely started to understand the sheer magnitude that was only eluded to in the past. It's cast iron and steel lochs docking the most massive of ships all while tricking the ocean from spilling through. Something immediately drew his attention to a revised part. Drawn in by hand it loosely made him understand that there was more than meets the eye.

William Gladstone: "So if things go awry with America we can secure our own hidden dock."

Quickly proping his finger on the penciled in addition he urged Jack to listen.

"Under the condition that your Amazon faction exclusively does trade with Britania we will aide you with the rights to use our hidden dock."

Jack, shocked that they somehow slipped it into the plans trying to understand why they are being so kind his suddenly eyes aligned on quite a familiar sketch. He lept into the air when he discovered he was staring at the C.O.E. logo.

It shown plain as day. He swayed his gaze towards William and seeing him wink he now did think that this was all planned from the start.

William Gladstone: "When Benjamin Disraeli departed as Prime Minister he enrolled me into all the Amazon knowledge he did hold. He was sold on going back some day swayed by your father of course. He endorsed me into his place on the Counsel of Eight."

Jack elated that he had a new ally quickly held out his hand for William to shake

William Gladstone: "Make no mistake Amazon secrets are safe with me."

Jack, thankful for his new devotee could see out of the corner of his eye a commotion going on outside the stained glass. Tall black hats peppered his view it seemed that the royal guard all quickly coming threw the gate were racing to see what all of the commotion from the eye could be.

Jack: " Well, as you can see I'll have to be going."

Jack, showing an utmost sense of urgency proceeded towards the door. But then he was immediately forced to explore alternate exits. Now, beset at every corner in the hall, groups of royal guards did fall into place. His eyes fiercely tracing the room did zoom in on a beam of sun light emanating from the eye's prior ignite through the ceiling. Feeling it would be the only way he ran through the guards play to catch him by quickly latching onto the ornate wooden corbels. Now laureled above their immediate reach Jack unseated his maximum strength. At maximum length his arms had to reach. Each one straining little by little gaining more height. The guards might was of no regard as each fell in disgrace unable to place their hands on Jack. Their lack of power left a definitive scour on their faces as they lost traces after Jack placed his feet on the rooftop.

The eye flopped out of his shirt as he lurched to find his footing. Immediately putting his eyes on his waiting ride. He applied maximum force to whistle loud enough to endorse his attention. With no meekness to mention the carriage boy immediately plowed through the hordes of royal guards obviously lauded on by Jacks gracious tip. He came to sit right below his perch. He lurched into the air daring to defy his fate. His weight making the carriage roof collapse. Now sat back in his seat Jack yelled in repeat.

Jack: "No. 5 Hamstead Ln. Highgate London!"

Driver: "What?" "Wait?"

Jack: "Highgate!!"

So without any more wait they pushed through the gate with loads of guards who tried to jump aboard the carriage. Not disparraged in the least Jack took his boot to cheat their grip whilst slipping into London's streets.
