(Its the day of the competition)
Dear diary,
Today was the day of the competition, we all gathered up waiting for our chance to perform.
Some were getting their make-up and hair done, others recalling the dance steps. But I just sat down, ……...I always do that. I try to comfort myself and just stay calm before competitions like this.
And right when I was diving into a world of peace someone came and interrupted it.
‘HEY!’ he yelled…………..’ ya! Sam ….what's your problem’ I yelled back at him.
‘Sorry……did I disturb you, but still don’t shout like that’ he said .
I sighed ‘fine, fine….what do you want?’ …………..
’actually….I need a favour’
‘Sure, what’s up?’
‘Um…..I need your help……can ..can you….help me ask …Rachel out’
I wanted to jump with joy, but then I was too shocked so I couldn’t even speak!.....
‘What?....seriously …finally you’re understanding your feeling!’ I exclaimed with joy
‘Fine fine….keep it down..she might hear……just meet me in the dance room ….some time before we have the after party…I’m gonna ask her during the after-party…..in a very special way’
‘Aishhh…..are you planning a wedding proposal’ I asked
‘ Don’t overexaggerate ……I just want to show her how special she is to me’ he replied
I started teasing him while he showed a shy smile
‘But…..you know we are only having an after-party if we win’ I said….leaving him in shock………..suddenly he shouted ‘EVERYONE WE HAVE TO WIN NO MATTER WHAT!’

Soon it was our turn to perform…..we went up on stage and performed ……I think which was really good. We went back backstage, waiting for the judges to make their decision …….after some time that seemed forever we were called back on stage. While the judges were talking about whatever they were talking …..which I didn’t pay attention to….I started scanning the crowd for my parents…..I found them sitting in the front row waving to me in an exciting town….I smiled at them. That’s when my eyes fell on a boy sitting two seats away from them. And yes he was wearing a black mask and cap…..and so it can be only one person. My heart suddenly started beating with the speed of thunder, we locked eyes and our cheeks started blushing. Yes, it was Kai. I wanted to jump off the stage and go hug him….but I tried to hold back myself.
Suddenly someone started shaking me, it was Rachel….’What?....what happened?’ I asked
‘ WE WON SILLY ‘ she replied. Everything felt so good, our team started jumping with joy!
We were awarded the trophy and soon got off the stage. I tried to go out off
the backstage as soon as possible, and when I reached ……I found Kai standing in front of me. I was about to run to him…………………………..
But my parents came in front of me all of a sudden…..’Sara, we are so proud of you!’ I waited patiently for them to finish while I kept looking at Kai and blushing.
‘Okay….okay…you go change ..we will go get something for you to eat’ they said.
My face lit up with a smile and soon later I ran to Kai.
We hugged each other tightly for a few minutes.
'I missed you so much….' he said
'Me too ' I replied while hugging him again.
' I love you' he said
I froze...and the hug ended. He looked into my eyes ….and said it again……' I love you' and came forward and gave me a kiss on the cheeks. We stared into each other's eyes….and I said it back to him ' I love you'
And he pulled me and gave me another long hug.

We soon went backstage...while he was with Rachel and Sam I went to quickly change……

We invited Kai to the after party and it felt so good….the four of us again together ….and yes there was Anvi, Aananya and all our other friends
