FOR OR AGAINST YOUR PEOPLE (CHAPTER 3)
The next morning, the ship arrived at e harbour of England. Nathaniel got up to look at the scenes and landscape of the new area he is going to live in. He was astonished and overjoyed upon seeing the beautiful country and how they go about their activities. Rev. Wilson took him to one of the best schools to be enrolled in and found a personal teacher for Nathaniel. Just for him to be better in English and Mathematics.

His first day in school was hell for him. He was intimidated and afraid of the people around him. He was a bit antisocial with others due to the fact that he could not speak English. Yet he was not a below average student tho, he was good in some aspects of his academics. Thus, teachers did not suffer much teaching him to his understanding.

His performance in the tests he wrote was above average. He quickly adapted to speaking English and was able to understand it better. Due to his performances in examinations and tests, he was given a certificate to further his education in any aspect of profession he wants to do. He applied for soldier training so that he would one day gain access to his former home when he is sent there.

He went to the training ground only to be disappointed to see how the rookies and amateurs were treated. Fear got hold of his heart, goosebumps began to cascade on his body and had a cold feet. Some of the rookies and amateurs were beaten with sticks and others were told to do a hundred and above push ups. Slaps were moving everywhere like the wind.

On his first day at training came his worst fear. He was beaten like a dog and slapped like a wall. He was told to do more push ups than anyone in the camp since it was his first time. After training, he went alone to a serene environment and cried bitterly and wished to have run away from the camp. Yet he could not because if he does there is no other way he can go and see his family.

The next morning the chief in army commander received a letter from the Queen of England and in the letter she said,"I know it's not easy to train young ones like these to become heroes of England one day. Most of our soldiers are in different countries and the ones left here are few. We need more so that we can transfer at most fifty percent to other countries so that the rest can fight for us and the country as a whole."

After the CEO trainee read the letter, he assembled both the rookie and amateur soldiers to train them for selection. The training he gave them was the last training and that training was a life and death situation. The first step was to climb the mountains and the highlands. As they began climbing some gave up and others fainted. Thus they were disqualified from the final training to be selected.

The number that qualified were about two thousand five hundred and fifty three soldiers including Nathaniel. The last stage was a matter of life and death. They were made to swim in the river, and in the process of swimming they must dodge the bullets the will be fired by skilled shooters. Nathaniel began swimming with other soldiers and thought to himself, "If I die, I die for my family." He swam and gracefully dodged the bullets that were being fired.

But unfortunately, the bullet hit the same place he was shot when he felt unconscious. In pain he continued to swim and did not give up until he came out of the river. He was bleeding excessively and the wound specialist in the army attended to him. So at the end of the risky and death pit training, one thousand two hundred soldiers made it and qualified into becoming England's official soldiers.

Nathaniel and the other soldiers were presented their first ever medal on their breast pocket for officially being promoted to the senior most army in England. This was done during a remembrance ceremony of their forefathers who help them gain independence. Rev. Wilson and his wife were happy with smiles covering their faces to see where Nathaniel has gotten to.

Tears began to flow from their eyes as they sat in reminisce the time they found him. They gave him a hug as a sign of congratulations. As they journeyed home Nathaniel began to discuss on how he would like to see his family again with Rev. Wilson. Wilson explained to him that he would be killed if he is seen, but Nathaniel refused to give heed to what Wilson said.

The following day, the Queen summoned all her officials. In her meeting with them they discussed about how they discovered gold in some parts of Africa. One of the officials named Godfred Lordson mentioned a town called Nframabo. He said,"My Queen I went to.....I'd say a certain village and I discovered that the village is blessed with minerals. Especially gold!" This statement moved the Queen. She asked them to devise ways and means on how to aquire those minerals.

Godfred said,"It's easy. The people who live there are illiterates and uncivilised. Moreover, they haven't seen some of the things we have. So I suggest that if we go there we will do what they do, and that is barter trade. They can give us gold in exchange of what we have in abundance." The Queen saw it to be a good idea, so he appointed Godfred lordson to be the governor of Nframabo if they conquer them. The next morning the Queen sent some of the newly recruited soldiers including Nathaniel with Godfred Lordson to the village of Nframabo. Just to go and conquer them for their resources.

Meanwhile Nathaniel was excited about how he is going to see him family again. Wilson and his wife packed their belongings to set off to the village. Wilson went with the intention to preach the gospel but at the same time worried about the life of Nathaniel. Wilson went to Nathaniel and told him to be his preaching assistant. Nathaniel felt the intention of Rev.Wilson was good but not the best idea, for he was scared for the life of Rev. Wilson. Nathaniel went to him to discuss the issue with Rev. Wilson.  But after all the counsel, Rev. Wilson still insisted that he is going to preach the gospel even if it means death.
