Chapter 1:Love:is the past
Myra had tears rolling down her cheeks when she was signing the divorce papers. She was thinking how is she here what did she do to deserve this thinking of the times she fought her family when they warned her about Jake and told her he is not good enough for her.How she broke their heart when she secretly got married to Jake without telling her family and how she broke their heart when they found out.She never expected the man she loved with all her heart and soul and felt was her best friend to hurt her to her breaking point.
Myra and Jake had been dating for 5 years till they finally got married and told their families.
The blossoming beautiful relationship soon started rotting. Jake would get irritated by Myra, his mother would interfere too much in their marriage and create misunderstandings.
He would always take his mother Margrets side. Myra worked hard to support and save while Jake would spend his money on his friends.
Myra had to work harder to support them, she borrowed money from her parents to pay bills while Jake did not care at all. He and his family were squeezing every penny out of Myra and her family till the point she could not take it anymore and he started physically abusing her, slapped her in front of her friend when Myra declined to hand over her credit cards to Jake.
Myra felt she was slipping into depression and would cry every night.
One day she gathered the courage to leave him and he tried to hurt her again. He tried hitting her and she screamed as loud as she could till he left her alone scared that the neighbours might show up. Myra took advantage of that moment and ran out of the house and took a cab and went to her parents and told them everything.
Jake on the other hand told his family and spread the word to everyone they knew that she was cheating on him and was sleeping with other men and he had left her.
Myra locked herself up in her old room at her parents house and she felt so guilty and ashamed she let this happen to herself and all she did was cry everyday and everynight.
Myra soon found out she was pregnant and reached out to one of Jake's friend Robby but he asked not to contact Jake. Myra reached out to his family but they declined to speak to her and told her Jake has filed for a divorce and she should sign it and she is going to get nothing from him.
The next day Myra signed the papers and sent it back.
When she was 3 months pregnant the divorce was finalized and she found out, Jake is engaged again to a wealthy woman named Kathy and that she was the only child of a wealthy businassman and he was helping Jake set up his business.
After 2 months news came Jake was married and after a few Months Myra gave birth to a beautiful daughter she named her Emma. Myra worked hard day and night every day working overtime to give Emma the best life that she deserved, Myra's parents were always there to help her.
Myra saved every penny she could and invested the money for Emma's future. A year later Myra found out Jake's new wife was pregnant and gave birth to a son recently and that he was very proud of being a dad and had been saying to people that Myra was incapable of having a child.
Myra ignored everything as she just wanted her daughter to be safe from a greedy father like Jake and just wanted to protect her.
Myra was a great mother and managed work and loved spending time with Emma.
They were inseperable every minute she could spare she loved to spend it with Emma.
