"It's a girl! "
The doctor gushed, placing the wailing infant on the woman's chest.
She heaved trying to catch her breath in the aftermath of her gruelling labour. Tears of pain mingled briefly with tears of joy before dissolving into tears of sadness.
She had once again given birth to a girl! Her third daughter. What would her husband and in-laws do to her now?...What would the world label her as..?? Where she would be beaten and thrown now??
Questions had startled her again and again,
The poor infant kept crying and after few hours the family stepped in.....
She was shifted into a room and the family was her father on a wheel chair paralyzed and her sister in 12th grade.
She said, "Mubarak ho apa!!"
And behind her came a couple who seemed to be rich and handed a little baby to her and took the infant and thanked her... They went out taking her..
"apa this was there relatives boy they needed a daughter and I signed with them to exchange your misfortune into luck.."
Mother was crying dead inside because in-laws very to be happy from her now!!
