I bang on the glass to get John's attention. He looks over at me as he hands out guns to everyone. He walks over at a brisk pace and says "What? Dont worry we wouldn't leave the cure."
I glare at him and say "Dont ever call me that again. Now let me out!"
"How can I trust you?" he says back narrowing his eyes.
"You can't."
He looks at me and sighs. He presses another button and the glass separating me from him slides smoothly open. Once the glass is gone I punch him in the face and turn him around and slam him into the wall. He struggles to get his gun up but I punch him in the gut and grab his hand and slam it over and over again on the wall until he drops it. I hold his shirt and look at his eyes. I see the fear in them.
"Looks like your not as smart as you look." I say. All the doctors in the room freeze and stare. I slam him against the wall again.
Lucas grabs my shoulder before I punch him and says "Let's think about this Theresa."
"Theres nothing to think about " I say back.
"We need all the people to fight this zombie hoard even him. So let him go. I promise after we get out of this alive, you can do whatever you want with him."
I look from John to Lucas. I let go of john with a hard shove. And walk off into the middle of the room. I look at all the doctors horrified faces.
I turn to a doctor and say "Get me a gun." He rushes to grab one. As he does I turn to the rest of the doctors and say " Grab as much ammo as you can. you might also want to grab a knife or something like that. " The doctor gives me a gun and some ammo. I nod to him in thanks. He nods back. I turn to john and says "We need a way out of here." He nods grimly. "This lab is in the middle of the whole facility. We are going to have to fight our way through."
"There is no way we can fight through that hoard." I say " Could we possibly use the vents?" I ask
"hmmm maybe it would be a tight fit. Well I suppose, yes we could. We could go through the vents to get to the exit."
"How far is that?"
"Not that far if we go to the 10th exit."
"Okay then we go through the vents and then once we get out I kill you." I say with a smile as john widens his eyes. He nods slowly. I grab a knife from a metal table and a syringe . "What are those for?" Lucas walks up to me and asks
" So I can give you my blood." I say
"Why?"
"So I can save you, idiot."
"I thought you hated me?"
"I do but not enough to let you turn into one of those things."
" They were people once.."
"They aren't now...Now they are monsters...."
A sudden bang startles us and a rotting hand comes through a hole in the metal.
I gather the rest of the supplies I think I need and yell loudly so everyone can hear " Everyone into the vents we are going to the 10th exit." People make a makeshift latter and start climbing into the vents.
"Ready?" I ask Lucas
"No." he says and climbs in.
I climb into the vent after Lucas and doctor John climb in. I knock down our latter just a a zombie was trying to climb up.
