Love Blossom
Mina was a simple, educated girl in a village of Tarapur. Her father worked for the timber estates owned by a rich gentleman, Yohan Malik.

Mina wanted to go to the town and get a descent job so that her ailing father shouldn't have to work hard just to earn three meals a day for two people. But her father wanted her to marry and settle in her life. Though he loved his daughter, he wanted her to concentrate on her own life.

Days went by and Mina's father was growing weak with illness. He now had nothing to survive. He had borrowed enough money from his employer since many years which he couldn't repay him back. Though Mr. Malik had never asked him to repay the loans, Mina's father was a man of self respect and couldn't afford to carry the burden of debt on him. He was in deep thoughts for many days which made his illness more critical.

One day, however, he met Mr. Malik to discuss about his debts and repayments and offered his daughter's hand in marriage to him, if he considered her worth. Mr. Malik was surprised at this unusual offer, but accepted after giving it a thought.

Here, Mina was deeply hurt at these sudden developments between the two men. Quickly the wedding took place and Mina came to live in a huge mansion with servants and maids at her service. She was depressed and locked herself in her room for two days. Worried about her, Mr. Malik ordered his best servants and maids to look after her.

While Mr. Malik was busy in his work, the maids consoled and tried to cheer her up. She felt upset thinking that she had been a burden on his father all these years and that she had been sold out to Mr. Malik in return of settling the debt of her father. If only her mother was alive! All sorts of thoughts came into her mind and she hated her very existence. She never came out of her room and neither saw her husband. She was educated, she could repay her father's debt atleast in installments. She thought atleast by doing this she could gain her lost honor and self confidence back.

Next day evening, Mr. Malik sent a note through a maid telling her to get ready to go with him for a drive near the park. Mina tore the note apart without a second thought, but the maid tried to convince her by hinting that may be Mina could use this chance to pour her heart out and talk to Mr. Malik about her decisions. And above all Mina herself wanted to get out of that room and get some fresh air.

Mina came down stairs where Mr. Malik, with all his attitude, was waiting for her eagerly. The car sped off as if flying on air. The two didn't speak to each other until the car stopped near the park. Mr. Malik gestured her to alight out of the car and Mina breathed some fresh air after four days.

It was Mr. Malik who spoke first. He said that the park was built by his father for the public many years ago and he visits the park regularly whenever he gets time. Mina hardly had any response for him and was lost in her confusion whether she should tell him everything or not. They both sat on a separate bench opposite to each other for sometime.

Mina finally spoke to him and expressed her desire to make use of her education. Mr. Malik was surprised that she wanted to repay the debt that her father owed to him. She did not want to be a burden on anyone. Now he understood the reason of her behaviour. He listened to her silently until she had finished, nodded his head and rose to leave. The car came back as swiftly as it had gone from the mansion. Mina had expected some response from him for her request, but Mr. Malik silently went towards his room and Mina came back to hers. She thought the whole night may be she had offended him by saying those things and she was sure that he would never allow her to take up a job. She was pleased that she had hurt his ego. She thought of it as her revenge.

Morning, at the breakfast table, Mr. Malik offered her a job of Account Executive for his office. Mina was spellbounded.

Mina joined the office and worked efficiently under a senior Executive. She often noticed Mr. Malik at the office as well as at home. Mr. Malik was very professional and a man of great experience and wisdom at his work. On the other hand, he was a true gentleman in his home. He appreciated the creativity and dedication at work and despised laziness. In several months, Mina started feeling that she has been prejudiced towards him.

An year passed in this way. Mr. Malik's company started facing losses as their shares crash drastically. Seeing this, their trusted financers stopped lending money. Mr. Malik was doing all that he could do to save his company. In some months, if he didn't recover, he predicted the company would dissolve. In couple of months most of the employees resigned due to low payments and some who were still there, were his trusted ones.

Mr. Malik tried to be calm even at this crisis. But Mina observed the tension in his behaviour. She too was sad and wanted to comfort him and tell him that she is with him come what may. She was attracted to him uncontrollably and one day in a meeting with him, she couldn't help but hide her tears. She was falling in love with him.

Mr. Malik made some proposals and shared it to some of the best Multi National Companies he knew. He hoped atleast one of the company would like it. Finally a Japanese company accepted it and asked him to send his best man for negotiating. He sent one of his senior staff to Japan. The negotiations were quickly made and the director of the company asked Mr. Malik to visit him personally. Mr. Malik at once was prepared to go to Japan and sort the business. At the meeting in his office, before leaving for Japan, he made Mina the decision maker of the company in his absence. After the meeting was over, Mina came to his cabin and said that she is with him. Tears rolled down her eyes and Mr. Malik took her hands in his for the first time and assured her that everything will be alright. She said that without him she couldn't handle the company. Mr. Malik said that he trusts her and her capabilities.

Mina worked day and night to keep the company running and tried her best to convince the financiers to give the company more time to recover the losses and repay their loans. 15 days passed since Mr. Malik left for Japan.

Over the next few months, the pressure from the financiers increased and Mina knew that it is very difficult to save their company. She was depressed and needed support. She thought of Mr. Malik and the trust he had in her. She missed him deeply and awaited his letters atleast. But he had sent only a few letters in the course of 8 months and wrote only about the company and the situation there. She replied regarding the pressure from financiers and he had only gave her hope.

Finally the financiers sent a notice to seize the company to recover their loans. Mina tried to contact their well-wishers, but no one could help them in this situation. She lost all hopes and prayed to God. A few weeks before the auction, she wrote a letter to Mr. Malik asking forgiveness for she has lost the company and that she couln't honour the trust Mr. Malik had on her. She apologised for her prejudice against him and confessed her love for him and asked him to return soon.

The day for auction came sooner than expected. Financiers, brokers, rich buyers and bidders assembled outside the office. Mina was in the office with two of her senior staffs. She was depressed and more than that, she felt guilty. Until Mr. Malik would come bacback, his company would have been sold off to someone else.

The clock showed 10am and the procedures for bidding started. Mina was walking to and fro, slowly moving from one table to another and from one chamber to another. She came near the chair of Mr. Malik and broke down. Her accountant and a senior manager sat on their respective chairs, staring blankly.

Mina came out of the cabin and asked the manager to lock the cabin of Mr. Malik. Suddenly, there was a screeching sound of a car stopping outside and there was a babble of noise.

Mina thought the time has come and their company as been snatched from them. She fell unconscious.

When she opened her eyes, she was on a chair and in front of her was Mr. Malik massaging her forehead with a smile. She was shocked and grabbed his hands. She hugged him and cried like a baby. She asked him to forgive her that she could not save his company. Mr. Malik consoled her and said that the financiers have got their money and the auction has been cancelled. He has enough money to run the company now. He showed her the suitcases. Mina was dumbstruck and both of them hugged each other laughing.
