The Bookstore
It all began here
You, so serene and innocent, sitting there
I passed you by
You glanced at me, so shy

Temptress, seducing me so
Shameless attempts at letting my guard go
I must admit, you are a pro
I often thought about us, do you know?

Ever changing your style
Making me distracted for a while
This silent ongoing affair
Just You and Me, No one else did care

I have decided to meet up with you
Taking a stand, being brave though, shaking inside, it's true!
Your presence has given me the love flu!
It's now or never, I have to see this through

All dressed both You and I
Facing each other, not a word, time flies by
I hesitate, you encourage my footsteps
Soon enough, I am standing at your doorstep

You welcomed me with open arms
Your knowledge of the world has got its charms
I am no longer feeling lonely or sad
You pushed and made me discover the best side of me, I thought I never had

It happens so often and more
When you think you aren't that special person in the world anymore
Give yourself a chance and seek, don't ignore
The real world may sidestep you but, that won't happen at the bookstore
