Conversations With The Constellations
There he sat atop the hill looking up to the night sky seemingly lit up by the light of the stars. As infinite as the grains of sand on the beach shore, as unique as a fingerprint but together they were the light to this dark matter. He gazed at the stars almost as if he was looking for a specific one he knew. There it was bright and twinkling like a disco ball as the light pulsated from it like a heart beat. What if stars are more than just lights that distantly light up the sky? After all they say we are made from star dust, so if that was so what do the stars see when they shine down on us? Do they see the same light we see from them or do they see us for who we really are and not what we make ourselves out to be?

The star seemed to look back at him with the same intensity and curiousity he showed. Still twinkling but now as he stared more and more he seemed to become closer to this star. Focused on each other, he felt himself face to face with the star and even though it was so bright he could see. They seemingly looked at each other for a period of time and time became a term not something in existence. The star spoke, “Aren’t you afraid?” it asked. “Why would I be when I’m talking to myself?” he replied. “How can you say you’re talking to yourself, do you not see me?” the star replied. “I only see myself,...
