IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE
Ewoooooooooooooo!

My spirit had to scream in Igbo language because my expression based on what happened this morning is beyond English language. 😁

I joined a bus to the office this morning that took me safely to the bus top before my office.

There is an ongoing road construction along the express road so some drivers ply one-way.

I was walking carefully along the road avoiding the vehicles on the highway, the ones plying one-way and a big hole dug by the construction company along the express road.

While walking, a woman hurriedly walked passed me. I looked at her and noticed that she was mentally deranged.

I had to retrace my steps waiting for her to go faraway before continuing my journey.

Suddenly, this woman ran back aggressively heading towards me.

I was at a fix.

What move should I make next?

There is a big hole at my back,
Vehicles are moving at high speed on the express way,
Some vehicles are coming from the other side plying one-way,
Which direction should I face?

Before I could conclude on my move to make, this woman was already facing me. 😲

Like an unsuspecting action in a documentary, She lifted her hands like a lion ready to pounce on it's prey.
In defense, I instantly lifted my left arm like a shield and Wham! her hands were on my white shirt.
Suddenly, she took her hands off, sighed heavily and walked away.

Everything just happened in a flash!

"What just happened?" I asked myself.

I looked at my stained shirt and said to myself,
"Blessing, it could have been worse."

I headed to the office with flashback on the incident and a stained white shirt.

On a second thought,
What should I have avoided?
The vehicles on express road?
The vehicles plying one-way?
The big hole? or
The mentally deranged woman?🤔

I am working and facing my day as best as I can but when I look at my stained white shirt,
I smile and say to myself,
"Blessing, it could have been worse".
