The Peanut Butter Falcon - 2019 (Adventure/Drama)
Have you ever felt overjoyed or contentment after watching a movie? If not please watch this overwhelming movie, which gives you an emotional rollercoaster ride.
In the pursuit of Happiness, Zak ( a young guy with Downs syndrome) runs away from the state run nursing home and goes into the big bad world to chase his dream of becoming a professional wrestler.
He meets another runaway, Shia Lebouef in an Oscar worthy performance, and these two then go on a long, fabled journey.
What I loved the most was the fresh unpretentious conversations, that never feel over the top, or burdened to emote. You love these characters, and the goodness they stand for.
Cheers to Shia for making a great comeback in the film as Tyler, (the Transformers young vibrant feela turned into a full grown man) and Dakota as Eleanor, who carries the seriousness of her character, and allows us to see that it is ok to see situations from someone elses eyes sometime.
Truly moving and insightful, and a beautiful depiction of how people with Down syndrome want the same things everyone does.....friendship, love, kindness, respect.
I am sure, it will restore faith in all the ugliness that humanity offers. we need more art that is real, genuine and wholesome.
Watch this movie to warm your hearts and uplift your souls! Did that for me!
