I had my doubts. Every instinct screamed that something wasn’t right. The mission felt rushed. Too many unanswered questions. I should have spoken up.

We’ve been here for ten days. The planet is barren, a wasteland of black rock and twisted trees. No signs of intelligent life—just a strange, dark fungus that grows everywhere, creeping across the ground like it’s alive.
