Mothers will always be there for you
Mothers will always be there for you.

Since Mother's Day was yesterday, I wanted to speak on this subject. No matter what is going on in the world, your mother will always be there for you.
Now, before the haters come for me. Yes, I know some mothers are not there for their children, I know that. This is about what I have seen. It's sad as I have seen so much of this while I've done speaking engagements. How many fathers put down their children and how mothers will constantly be there trying to pick up the pieces.

It amazes me the way some people behave. I wonder how you look at yourself in the mirror and think this behavior is okay?
Does it make you feel better? Does it make you feel like a bigger person by putting others down, especially your own children? How can you threaten or hold things over their heads? Is it to make sure you always have control and / or the upper hand?

Why must you show the world a perfectly painted picture on the outside and yet you are a dictator on the inside? What are you so afraid of that you can't change? Even at the risk of losing your family or your children?

Do you think they are going to stay after you no longer have anything to hold over them? Do you think they will stay when you're constantly belittling them, telling them they are worth less and will never make it?

You obviously have no clue. Because while you were tearing them down, their mother was building them up. She was telling them they could do anything, that they are not "fuck ups" as you call them. That they might have fucked up but that is by no means who they are or who they are going to be.

They are teenagers, they are human, they will make mistakes. They will do things we don't approve of, but that is not who they will be all of their lives. No, their mothers will continue to tell them that they are beautiful, smart, kind, self-sufficient children at all times, even when they have not made the right choices.

These mothers will be here for them. They will never cut them out of their life just because they don't do what you want. They will not bring up their past sins and throw it in their faces every time they get into a fight.

They will be here to let them know that we all make mistakes. To ask them what they learned and tell them to forgive themselves and then to forgive others and move on.

They will continue to teach them to be kind to others, to lift people up, to help others and to try to be a blessing to everyone. They will show them to stand up for themselves. To not to put up with a lying, cheating, and disrespectful man. To teach them to know their self worth and the value of it.

So today my friends, remember that mother's will always be here building their children up. And God help you if you continue to do what you are doing to your children because one day you will wake up a lonely, miserable old man because no one could ever measure up to your standards but you.

Until that day comes, your children will continue to know that their mothers are their biggest cheerleader. They will be the best moms they can be, will love them and be here for them when they fall as well as when they succeed. They will always love them unconditionally.
