Dead Dreams [Chapter VIII]

Realising that he is going to die, he started running. He can see illusions everywhere. It was like a haunted street. He didn't stop running. When he reached the rest of the street, Elsie dragged archer back to the street and the whole street sank into darkness.
The next morning, when Elsie's parents who came back to the hospital to visit their daughter was going to have a great shock. They saw the police were collecting the evidence. The forensic officers were collecting the finger prints and blood samples. The police came near Elsie's parents and felt hesitation to say about Elsie.
One of the police female police came to them and said, "I'm so sorry for you. Your daughter went missing tonight. She might be also killed. We will find her soon. We're trying to recover the CCTV footage that have been deleted when the incident happened. We will try to find her as soon as possible."
Elsie's mom and dad fought with the police and asked, "how is it even possible? She was good tonight. How she went missing in a single night?"
The police convinced them and made them sit in the corner of the hall. They were crying and praying to the god. The police found out that three doctors went missing along with Elsie. They were confused and each one have their own theory about what happened to Elsie.
Within few minutes of press reports, it was a viral topic in the whole city. Rumours started spreading all around that she was attacked by the ghost few days ago and now, the ghosts took her soul. To avoid rumours, the police arranged for a special press meet.
The police asked the forensic officers, "it's very urgent.. there's something fishy. Can we get the forensic reports as soon as possible?"
The officer's replied, "It depends on the urgency of the sample. Normally there’s a backlog and it can take months, even years for something to file through. If you need the results NOW, most of the stuff can be done in 6–12 hours, if someone pulls an all-nighter."
