It's all just a dream.
#WritcoStoryChallenge
The streetlights were dim as the mist enclosed it in its mysterious grip. She peered out of her window into the darkness, was there someone out there or was it her imagination?

Looking out on the road there in the distance next to where she knows the church stands, is a figure leaning against the wall. When the figure looks up all she sees is the red of his eyes staring straight at her.

She breaths deeply, her lungs feeling too small for the amounts of air she needs to remain conscious.

She moves behind the curtain holding her hand to her chest. Hyperventilating at this point would be a bad thing.

When she looks around the curtain at the shadow across the road. It is no longer there, but standing right infront of her window.

This thing is not human, it's not real, it can't be. His blazing red eyes and sharp animalistic teeth, he is licking his lips and whispering mine, mine, mine all the time.

I run away from the window and towards my bedroom door. As I reach the door there is a loud crashing of glass and the dark figure is now walking towards me.

I thrash and scream as I try to escape. He has me pinned to the bedroom floor. His breath permeates around my nose, making me want to gag. His body wait is fully on me and I find it increasingly difficult to breath.

I thrash and scream again. I can feel his tounge tracing the contours of my face. There is a loud shreeking noise from beside me.

It was all just a dream, time to get up for school. I shake the fog from my brain and lift the blankets off my body. I feel a gust of wind and look over to my window.

Only to see the dark shadow with red eyes standing by my broken bedroom window.
