As soon as Jieun heard the muffled screams outside of her bedroom door, she shot out of bed and ran towards the noise . Coming closer and closer to the sounds, she realised it was her father.

' probably drunk again'

"Dad! Dad , what's wro-" her father's palm met her face with a hard smack . She fell backward onto the floor and clutched her thronging cheek.

"You! This is all your fault!"

Tears began to surface in her eyes,
"What? I didn't do anything!"

Her father through his head back and began laughing, but he seemed far from happy.

He glared back at his daughter,sitting on the ground. He grit his teeth, the smell of alcohol radiating from him.

He bent down and pointed a finger at his 11 years old ,"you're the reason he's gone! You made him run away!"

"Dad , I don't know what you're ta-"

"Jungkook! It's Jungkook! He ran away !Because of you!"

The pain in her cheek was nothing compared to the pain Jieun was now feeling in her heart.

"No! He would never leave me !"

Her father help his arm out, pointing to Jungkook's room, "Go see for yourself, you worthless child!"

Jieun sprinted off to her brother's room, nearly tripping over her feet as she ran.

"You better get a job since your brother isn't here to pay the bills anymore!", her father called after her

She ignored him and continued running
