back in october 2003, a little boy named bob, age 18, who was the youngest of 12 siblings, moved from his mother's farm to this little village. he came home to a small town called loma roo, about 150 miles north of the philippines. and he was happy. he loved his family. he loved his family. he loved a lot, at least in part, by this point, but by that point he was starting to make a difference for others. he became involved with an environmental program that, in addition to reducing the impact of pollution, was also providing education, resources and jobs to people. that's all great and all good. but bob needed that to continue. bob had been in the military since the age of 15. he was a soldier, and when he'd first started, the army wanted him to take out as much as he could, as many special forces as possible, and even to be able to go overseas. he was just beginning. the army offered him free tuition, all the while encouraging him to enlist. he didn't want to be sent off to iraq. but even as bob left after the initial offer was made, he went on active duty. the army offered bob a free three-year stipend. a few days later, he received his promotion. now bob was living with his mom. now he wanted to go back to the military, even though i...
