Moonlight: Chapter 4
It's been two hours since Nick and I have been on the road. I was putting on a wig and some glasses because the police are looking for both Nick and i.
"Here we are" Nick said parking his car into the driveway, not the police car. We abandoned the police car somewhere in between the journey and Nick 'borrowed' a car which we are using. I looked around the house Nick parked in front of, it was nothing big and fancy, it looked cozy like a family home.
"This is where we'd be staying temporarily and by the way, your name is Miranda in case anyone asks" Nick explained opening the door for me and at the same time balancing our bags.
"This place is nice" I said taking in the interior, " Nick, where did you steal the diamond from?"
"Let me tell you a story", Nick said sitting down on the sofa, " There was once a very big gang that controlled all the other gangs. The leader was ruthless and extremely rich. Among all the other gangs were five main gangs: the Panthers, the black snake, the night runners, Ravens and blue demons. These five gangs were like sons to that one top gang. So one day the leader of that top gang got really sick and used 90% of his wealth to buy a diamond which he hid. He summoned all five gangs and told them whoever finds the diamond takes over from him. The Panthers found it first and the night runners stole it from them and then black snake stole it from the night runners, and I stole it from the big boss"
"Wait so what you are saying is that not only is the police looking for us but five ruthless gangs?!" I asked now scared.
"Yes, but they can't catch us if they can't find us" Nick said smiling, "but in case they do, take this so you can protect yourself when the time comes"
I looked at the gun in his hand terrified, "no, I can't take this. I'm a doctor not a killer!"
"What if someone kidnaps you or something?, I'm not asking you to go around and shoot people, I'm just saying you should protect yourself" Nick argued.
"Ok, fine" I said taking the gun with my shaking hands.
"Now, take this diamond and keep it safe" Nick said giving me the diamond.

A loud crash woke me up and I tip toed to the door of the room and opened it a little. I saw Nick fighting with a guy that had a knife. I went to the cupboard in the room and brought out the gun, maybe I can scare the man with the gun.
"hey!, leave him alone!" I yelled. The man just gave me a crooked smile before stabbing Nick in the abdomen.
"where is the..." a loud gunshot cut him off, followed by another gunshot. I shot him, I can't believe I shot someone. I dropped the gun on the floor immediately terrified of myself.
"Gen, we need to go now!" Nick shouted limping
"But.. but"
"Are you with the diamond?" he asked and I nodded bringing the diamond out of my bra.
"Good, let's go" he said carrying our bags, which we thankfully didn't unpack and left the house.
"Where are we going" I asked Nick putting on my seat belt.
"Let's see where the car takes us" he said smirking before driving out.
