VALENTINE'S EVE

Ruth's P.O.V

On Valentine's eve, Teju, Rita’s fiancé asked me out to be his fiancée . He complained of Rita's incessant nagging and how she keeps malice and threatens to kill him at any slightest provocation. I refused to accept his proposal but he never gave me breathing space instead he kept on pestering me to accept his proposal.

I had to avoid bumping into him in school and in my neighborhood.
Teju sexually harassed me in my house and till date, I don’t know how he got my home address. But, I decided to record the conversations Teju had with me via calls, Whatsapp audios, and screenshots and chats and sent it to Rita but Rita did not reply.

Later on, I got to know that Rita sent Tomiwa to sympathize with me but Tomiwa did the opposite by poisoning my mind against Rita, but thank God that Rita reached out to me before bedtime and narrated her ordeals to me. I felt pity for her and encouraged her to run away from her family.

On Valentine's Day, I had goosebumps when I heard Teju was murdered , I can't seeem to wrapp my head around this unfortunate incident. But I suspect Cynthia and Tomiwa. They have behaving suspiciously these days.

Cynthia’s P.O.V

Rita approached me after lecture had ended, pleaded with me to keep tabs on her fiance and Ruth. I accepted her offer because i wanted to get back at her, Teju and Ruth. Teju asked me for Ruth's home address which i gladly gave to him.

Things are falling in place. I got to Ruth's residence unnoticed before the arrival of Ruth and Teju. I captured the best angles of Ruth's sexual harassment. I sneaked out through the backdoor, sent the images and videos to Ruth and i was compensated heavily for my bravery and intelligence.

I was dumbfounded when I heard that Teju was murdered on Valentine's Day. I was stunned at the horrible incident. May his soul rest in perfect peace. I wish he had stay a little longer at my place, But i suspect Ruth, Rita and Tomiwa. Those devious divas are not to be trusted.

Rita's P.O.V

I noticed Teju's dishonesty and infidelity. I knew he was a philanderer and his sexual escapades with Cynthia and Tomiwa. I caught him several times in the act. I was so ashamed and bitter. I told my parents about this but they insisted that I must marry him for the sake of a multibillion naira contract Teju's father promised to sign with their company after our marriage.

On Valentine's eve, i approached Cynthia to monitor Teju's movement and sent the video clips of Teju harassing Ruth sexually. Later in the evening, Ruth sent the evidence of my fiance's infidelity to me. I was speechless, i felt so bad for Ruth, I was ashamed of myself.

I pleaded with Tomiwa to give Ruth moral support, help her not to fall into depression and relay my apologies to her, but Tomiwa took advantage of this and poisoned the mind of Ruth by painting me as an unsympathetic brat and that she is only one who has her best interest at heart.

I reached out before midnight to Ruth and poured out my heart to her, To my surprise, Ruth encouraged me to choose my happiness over my family's self centredness. I apologised to her and we reconciled.

I went crazy when i heard my fiance was murdered, I could barely eat or drink, i can't imagine the pain of his family over his death. May his soul rest in perfect peace. I suspect Tomiwa and Cynthia.

Tomiwa 's P.O.V

Rita asked me to give Ruth moral support. I was shocked at first but i saw it as an opportunity to use this benevolence to lay the foundation for my revenge. But Rita ruined my plans as Ruth lashed out at me. I'm not that generous with my sympathy.

I was sympathetic to the death of Teju, he had such a bright future ahead of him. May Almighty God forgive him his sins. May his soul rest in peace. I suspect Cynthia, Rita, and Ruth.
