What happened to you, o Miljacka?
You're no longer a sweetheart.
How long is it gonna be that you're staying
this way as strangers,
are you still there?
I watch you from afar
Your feet takes you here
My heart has awaited

In the Bosnian weather, I've dressed up
wearing the sweater of your past
Come prepared to hear the favorite word
Just in case it escapes your lips today
calling me, "Voljeni, come (back) here"
Have I misheard it from you?
But my eyes have seen you on the other side
standing still miles away from me
You didn't realise I was coming
across the sidewalks to this Latin Bridge
Our eyes might meet but our hearts don't
We're in the opposite team
Thought we were in the same walk
Got my route redirected to the north
while you're still in the south
Gently, I asked you, "Come along with me?"
You hesitated, "I'll think about it."
