But when I tried to settle the matter, the plaintiff, Mr. Johnson, my friend's father, was found dead. Now, they're accusing me of his murder," Jo Mend explained, tears in her eyes.

"Why would they accuse you?" I asked, skeptical.

"I don't know! I was at home when it happened. But they found my fingerprints on the murder weapon," she said, her voice breaking.

"That doesn't look good," I admitted. "But if you're innocent, we need to find out who really killed Mr. Johnson."

Jo Mend and I decided to visit Mr. Johnson's office. It was a small, cluttered space filled with papers and files. As we searched through his desk, we found a hidden drawer, untouched by the investigators handling her case. Inside was a stack of documents and a USB drive.

"Look at this," Jo Mend said, holding up a document. "It's a contract between Mr. Johnson and another company. It looks like he was involved in some shady deals."
