Jessica had always been a bit of a loner. She lived alone with her beloved dogs, never wanting for anything more. But one day, it all came crashing down.
Out of the blue, Jessica's three dogs were taken away from her by animal control. Despite her desperate pleas, they refused to budge, leaving Jessica feeling hopeless and broken-hearted.
That night, she could bear it no longer and decided to take her own life. Jessica made her way to the old field at the edge of town and quietly hung herself in a tree there.
Unbeknownst to anyone, what was seen after was far more chilling than anyone could have expected. There, in the same field that night, a dog's body could be seen running around with Jessica's face.
No one knows how she did it or why she chose to do it, but it was clear that she wanted her life and that of her beloved dogs to be linked in death together. No one has ever gotten close enough to capture this mysterious specter since, but it's said that sometimes on dark nights you can still hear soft, almost mournful barking coming from the old field at the edge of town.
