Rahul, a hardworking intellect who had finished his B.Tech was working in Saudi Arabia. Due to some circumstances and personal reasons, he had to quit his job and search for a new one in India. His family was always a great support throughout his journey of ups and downs. Like every teenager, he was worried about his future and his career. Moreover, he had got married and his responsibility as a individual had increased. He never had greed for materialistic things in life. Rahul always wanted to live the life as it comes. But, at times, He was haunted by thoughts of his career now and then.
In simple words "depression", the mood swings never stopped him from trying hard. He wanted to prove his worth. After months, he landed a job as a sales manager in a firm. Rahul never backed off from the work or tiring schedule. He was honest and really dependable. He was honest to his soul.
One day he happened to accquaint with a customer over phone. A complete stranger , introduced himself to be from Bangalore told him his business needs and requirements. As rahul was the incharge, he had dealt with customers all his life. But this customer was going to be a complete surprise for him. The customer from banglore. I call him " Mr Stranger". "Stranger" was not happy with the quote of the business, rahul was handling. So he wanted the refund of money he had paid earlier. Rahul, who was honest, explained his MD regarding the issue and gave him back the money he had paid.
Happy with his gesture and behaviour Mr. Stranger thanked him. Rahul was always talkative. He believed talkative men ruled the world. Its no surprise for his pals that he is in the Sales Industry. He was used to these customers. But Mr. Stranger was not usual.
He texted Rahul: "Your very kind. I appreciate it. I want to gift one book to you . Please send your name and address with personal mobile number. I hope you have reading habit on English language book. I hope you enjoy that book. Thanks and regards."
Rahul was surprised at this. He at first did not respond to the texts thinking its weird. He just thanked him.
Mr. Stranger then asked him if he was great to not accept gift from others because only good people accept gift from others. Great people won't. Rahul replied " I am just trying to be good sir. I dont need any books. "
Mr. Stranger insisted on getting book from him and told Rahul to give his address, so that he can send the book. Rahul did not want to dismey his customer. Moreover, he liked to read books.
His first book arrived" Zen and the art of Happiness". A book full of positivity and Motivation. Rahul was happy to get the book. He never expected that he had a book angel in his life. This was not the end of the new born Angel. His angel sent him another book " IKIGAI, The japanesse secret of Happy and long Life " another must read book for youths.
Rahul got his first pen friend a book Angel, who he believes is there for a purpose. He believes he is creating a positive impact in his life through his books and bringing positivity all around him.
A stranger turned pen friend turned Book Angel. Someone rightly said " a Book makes a great gift because they have whole world inside them in all dimensions."
What do you think the Book angel will gift him next? Rahul is on his day to day activities, working day and night serving his customers and making new penfriends and Book Angels.
