Well Scotty is still in a coma facial reconstruction went well and Andrea and I walk in to his room and he was turned to the right side as he's not supposed to be because the bone flap being out his brain is right under his skin and pressure get put on the brain if he was turn to the right so I grabbed each side of my boys head as usual and turned it to the left and his right ear flipped across his face another injury no one noticed his right ear was almost severed off but so fine of a cut even we never noticed it we are six weeks into his accident now . Wow we screamed the nurses came running and even they freaked out just hold on by about a millimeter of skin . called the doctor he took him back into surgery and fixed it immediately . The next day he moved to the step down unit he start breaking his wires the was wiring his jaw together right after the surgery so after about the tenth time the doctor decided we'd worry about that later he stayed there another two weeks even in a coma we were off to mercy brain trauma rehab unit in Creves Cour where he was starting to get muscle break down in his urine we found out he had sudimonis a badly contagious Illness in his urine and mucus membranes and eyes and well the moved him on to the medical floor where they gave him the super antibiotic getramyicin and wow things turned bad we were waiting on tests to see if he needed dialysis so Andrea need to go home that next morning for a meeting about the kids so Kent and I went up to sit with him . Andrea already told us his vitals run low . But the nurse advocate lieason was with him Sandra and hold his wrist with her hand she got up to let me sit by him and right away I noticed he was very swollen Sandra was already out the door . I told Kent harshly go get me a pair of scissors his name band is cutting into him his nurse told Kent to wait so I just ripped it off of his wrist and looked at the monitor his heart rate was 14 blood pressure like 12 over 24 u yelled Kent go get the nurse and a doctor now run .he did the nurse came in and look at them she said we will just watch him the floor doctor said the same thing . Good thing his kidney doctor was rushing off the elevator totell us his results he look at the monitor and I was on the phone with Andrea telling her to turn back get here fast . The kidney doctor yelled at the nurse get him to ICU now this boy is dying fast .imedeately he drew blood and had it tested stat the result came back he was having a genetic allergic reaction to the myacin drugs and tols me and Kent if we don't what side has it to warn all our relatives about it cause one side or the other people can die fast from it as we seen almost . They also said he'd have be on dialysis all his life one dialysis treatment and his kidneys function returned to normal that fast . Thank God . and he need a brain trauma center for the rest of his treatment .he stayed here in mercy for another two months as we waited for a bed in sheffords center brain trauma center in Atlanta Georgia to come open then he had to be moved to a brain injury home in Cape for two months yet because his bed wouldnt be ready til then .that was a mess . but went fast the he was flown by medical jet to the center where he stayed for six months well another two months went by before he awoke from his coma . Eight months later after his accident thank God but he was what doctors called locked in . So scary to see your child like this . before we knew it he was home at the air port landing in the bluff as Andrea was pulling in with the handicap van to take him home finally I'm so glad . They got him all locked in place and Andrea started moving the van he threw his legs up on the dash and covered his head he was back flash the day of the accident he had we didn't even know if he remembered that but he definitely did . They got home his son ran to greet his dad boy they sure missed each other bad you could sure tell that look at the smiles they both had . all went well from there on with him.
